We detained a group of Turkish troops, for alligedly planning to "harm" Iraqi "civilian officials".
I say, no we shouldn't have detained them, our relationship with Turkey is already suffering, and we need all the freinds we can get in the middle east, Israel is not enough. We have been systematically hunting down officials in Iraq, and no one objects, and when Turkey does it, the undoubtedly had a valid reason, we imprison their soldiers. When Israel kills a dozen civilians to get to one Hamas leader, we say nothing, but Turkey does something that would probably help us in Iraq, and we imprison them. This display is very hypocritical, and if for no other reason it is wrong for that.
This leaves me breathless, and wondering if the reason Turkey can't help us is because they aren't Christian enough.
