Surprise, surprise, surprise . . .
Well CSPAN just announced that "Patty Davis" and "Michael Reagan" are going to speak at their father's funeral.

Patty Davis and Michael Reagan have used their father's name to prosper for themselves.

The first day, Patty Davis was up front and center, helping her mother, moving around a lot and animated, making sure she was center of attention. Even Nancy Reagan stated that Patty and Ron only came around when they were in need of money.

Michael Reagan walks up to the coffin and kisses it. Then he salutes it. Michael Reagan nor his father were in the military. The appropriate gesture would have been to place his right hand over his heart.

These two "children" should sit quietly and show their father the respect that they never did when he was alive.

Michael Reagan has no shame. This man's radio show, because of his father's death, will probably increase in listeners. He knows it and he's probably trying to work the numbers in his head. I believe President Reagan would be ashamed of Michael Reagan's views and how he spreads the lies and propaganda on his show.

The child that was there for them the most, per Nancy Reagan, was Maureen Reagan. She was not Nancy's child; however, President Reagan was her father. Until her death last year or the year before, she was the only one that was there regularly with her step-mother helping.

It doesn't surprise me at all that Patty Davis and Michael Reagan will be speaking at their father's funeral. It's their
last 15 minutes and they are going to hold on as long as they can.

1. How utterly shocking and disgusting

that two children are going to speak at their own father's funeral.

2. Or that they should take advantage
of their lot in life.

Maybe if they had better parents, they'd be better children?

3. Yeah, GWB never took advantage

of the wealth and position of his father. He made it solely on his own ...

5. Um -- I'd probably get asked to speak at my father's funeral,
if there were speakers at all. (He wants a simple, quick service -- yes, my parents are only in their mid-50s, and in good health, but they gave me the "packet of important information" a few years ago.)

It's what kids do at their parents' funerals, if asked and if capable.

...and what are these "lies and propaganda" of which you speak? The fact that Ron Jr. can't stand Dubya?

6. Just to clarify, Ronnie was in the military
Not the same one I was in, but something like it.

"the 1st Motion Picture Unit in Culver City, California, where he made over 400 training films"
