Voters opt to study local governments; turnout 27 percent countywideBy NICK GEVOCK, Chronicle Staff Writer
Voters across Gallatin County approved reviews of how their cities and towns are run in Tuesday's primary election.
Gallatin County voters, however, rejected a review of the county government 6,084-6,047.
And the review in Bozeman passed by a mere two votes, with 1,946 voting in favor of the study and 1,944 against, according to unofficial results.Since there are still four provisional ballots, which won't be counted until it's determined whether the voter was eligible to vote, that could alter the outcome of that race, County Clerk and Recorder Shelley Vance said Wednesday.
"We'll canvas on Tuesday and see what happens then," she said. "It's like a cliffhanger."
