Will Bilderberg remain a mystery forever? Book cancelled.
Anybody knows the Bilderberg group? If so, probably not from the newspapers. They do not report on this subject. Suspicious?

“Perhaps the most secretive club for the global elite” (The Guardian, May 25, 2001).

After all, some of the people most wealthy and influential of the world meet under this name every year. The name stems from a Hotel in Holland were the first meeting took place in 1954.
Attendants of the extremely secretive meetings (hotels are completely booked for a meeting) are acting premier ministers, presidents, politicians, CEOs of global corporations, editors of leading newspapers, chiefs of central reserve banks. People like Giovanni Agnelli, David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Jürgen Schrempp (DaimlerChrysler), and some of the world's leading financiers and foreign policy strategists, among others.
Perhaps one could call it an extremely influential lobbying group.

But no serious extensive news report or even scientific paper exists about the Bilderberg meetings.

However, three years ago, Perseus Books Group announced a book, to be written by Renata Adler, a distinguished professor and writer, “Private Capacity - The History of the Bilderberg Conference”. The book even appears at amazon.com (see below). It should be published 2001, was then postponed, and now: CANCELLED.

“Upon discussing your inquiry with our publisher, I have been informed that based on mutual agreement between the author, Renata Adler, and the publisher, PublicAffairs, the decision has been made to cancel publication of Private Capacity. While both the author and the publisher agree that the subject matter of the proposed book is fascinating, both parties also agree that a full length book treatment of the subject is probably not necessary.”

Shouldn’t be the citizens of democracies be aware of the institutions that influence politics?

1. Also disappeared - Teddy Bear Picnic
Harry Shearer made a film parody of Bohemian Grove a few years ago, in the same vein as A Might Wind, Waiting for Guffman, etc. Apparently he had actually been to Bohemian Grove and said the film actually wasn't as much a parody as an actualy depiction. Truth stranger than fiction.

I heard him interviewed on NPR, and then the film opened in a few theaters, then never head another word about it.

5. Here is the link at Yahoo Movies

There is one Usenet review which calls it "staggeringly awful." There are no reviews from well-known critics.

Weird. It must be available on video.

4. Hi dwckabal! You're right, them is a great book
The author gets "hands on" with everbody from Muslim extremeists to Bilderbergers to Randy Weaver. An entertaining book that shows that you might not have as much tinfoil in that hat as you thought you did.

7. Shades of Moore ?
Could it be as devastating as a Mike book even though it's written by a professor?
