For some reason, the area around my work seems to be their favorite place (MD just outside DC). I never see them anywhere else. I passed a group handing out his pamphlets today. I politely declined and expressed my opinion ("LaRouche is a whacko"). The guy was quite passionate "He's the future we need" :eyes:
Just curious, is this a geographical anomaly or have you seen his people out campaigning near you?
And nobody comes off quite as wacky as a LaRouche supporter in Chicago. We look at them in a similar fashion to the guy on one street corner with a bullhorn talking about Jesus and the other guy linking everything in the world with a Communist conspiracy.
we pulled up in a government vehicle. Of course, we weren't about to roll the windows down. They began pounding on the windows. Thankfully, the light changed pretty quickly.
I ran into some LaRouche people in San Francisco when I was shopping on Height Street last month. Their modus operandi seems strangely similar to the Mooney's of the 70's and 80's.
LaRouche is running his organization like a cult, so my guess is his "campaign" is a source of income for whatever his long-term political and personal goals are -- taking my cues from the Moon cult parallel.
