"NIXON" movie on TNT - it's deja vu all over again!

Who watched this last night? Who lived through the hardly believable scenario 30 years ago? The mind tends to dull traumatic experiences, but watching all the gory details, especially the voter-diversion Vietnam escalation & bombing of Cambodia, my memory snapped to attention. The meglomaniac, secretive, arrogant players - Kissenger, Haig, Mitchell, Segretti, Hunt, et. al. were virtually interchangeable with today's PNAC crew. HOWEVER - as paranoid and disconnected as that group was, does anyone here actually think that their collective damage equals the carnage already wreaked on America and the world by the current Sock Puppet & henchmen??

Inquiring minds really want to know.

1. The last 1 hour of the movie really made me feel sorry for him

I know it's not a good feeling to have towards Nixon.

2. Deja vu, but.......

at least Nixon was intelligent, and he didn't think God talked to him. What we have is worse. (I can't believe I think someone could be worse than Nixon.)
