DU mentioned in this WorldNetDaily.com article
DemocraticUnderground.com seemed to regret not having enough time to come up with a suitable obituary for Reagan.

"If you're looking for stories about Ronald Reagan in this week's edition, he 'ended communication' a little too close to our deadline. Tune in next week for coverage of the fallout of St. Ronald's passing."

Axisoflogic.com published a commentary by Greg Palast, who wrote: "You're not going to like this. You shouldn't speak ill of the dead. But in this case, someone's got to. Ronald Reagan was a conman. Reagan was a coward. Reagan was a killer."

1. You know, they have a point. DU should have an obit for Ronald Reagan.
Someone should write down his many "accomplishments." (Just remove all the common nouns and adverbs). Write what he actually did without editorials. And don't forget to include some of his choice quotes that the media seems to have forgotten.

You'll leave a more shocking impact, if you just state the facts.

3. Using a message board for source material is lazy and irresponsible
Totally devoid of journalistic ethics.

OF course, this is WND we're talking about. They make stuff anyways.

4. My Reagan tribute
Ronald Reagan's death accomplished two things he would be really happy about:

1. Somewhere, someone is making it rich for accurately predicting the day of his death in an odds-making death pool and
2. His death will now save the government the money that Secret Service protection for life was costing the taxpayers.

I suspect Ronnie would have been offended by the first, and laughed at the second.

I was not a fan, I still think that his administration committed some of the worst crimes a presidential administration can do, but I do feel compassion for Nancy and his children. Alzheimer's is a terrible way to die, and it's hell on a family.
