Who should be Kerry's VP?

19. Read somewhere that former primary rivals tend not to get picked because

they're losers. You need to pick someone who's on the upswing, not the downswing.

Edwards may not have won the primary, but he's clearly the only one who didn't win who was on the upswing. His problem was that not enough people knew him, but when they found out about him, they liked him.

So, in my opinion, the reason primary losers don't get picked doesn't apply to Edwards. Furthermore, it seems that that rule works in Edwards's favor: pick the guy who has got the mo, and who's pulling all the live. In November, we'll be saying, "Didn't know him in March. Bet you know him now."

I'm ALSO pulling REALLY HARD for Kerry to appoint Eliot Spitzer as Attorney General. THERE'S THE GUY who would clean up the BFEE and all the messes they've caused.
