Anti-porn pastor elected mayor of small town

KENNEDALE, Texas - Tucked away in a working-class neighborhood around the corner from XXX Super Store and Fantasy Foxx strip club, the neatly painted Oakcrest Family Church seems oddly out of place.

So about six months ago Norwood and other church members came up with a plan: take pictures of customers' cars parked outside strip joints and adult bookstores and mail them the photos, along with an invitation to visit the church.

Since then about a dozen porn patrons have called the church seeking help - and Norwood got elected as mayor.

"Anybody that knows me will say that my heart is to try to help these people," said Norwood, 56, who became mayor of this Fort Worth suburb of 6,100 residents on May 15. "But if all of these places close up, that's not a problem with me."

Doesn't this border on invasion of privacy and stalking? Isn't it harassment of a legal business?

Instead of putting this brownshirt through the legal system - he gets elected. What a crock!
