Did you know Bush has a black cat?Must make Ashcroft crazy!
black cat

India "Willie" Bush has been a beloved member of the Bush family for more than 10 years. The family named her after the former Texas Ranger baseball player, Ruben Sierra, who was called "El Indio". Currently India lives with the Bush family in the Whitehouse. She likes to hide from her owners. Her favorite place to nap is under the bed and her favorite food is Tuna-flavored kitty treats.

I tried to post the pix but it won't copy!

20. We had a black male polydactyl too..
Though he disappeared after a move, he was with us for years. I love the extra toes... made him very human.

11. Only calico cats are agents of Satan (according to Asscrotch)
And I have no idea where he ever got that concept from. But it probably has something to do with the fact that calico's are almost always female.

for women. Makes sense that he has a cat-aversion.
Makes me think of the witch hunts in Europe, middle ages and colonial times here; they rounded up women AND cats and then spent alot of time coming up with inventive ways to torture and kill them. But the linking of cats and the feminine is ancient, goes much farther back than those eras.

12. It's only calico cats that makes Ashcroft crazy
Edited on Mon May-31-04 10:57 AM by rocknation
It has something to do with their tending to have an additional "X" chromosome. As a result, calico cats are almost always female (XXX), and male calico cats are almost always sterile (XXY). Include the association of cats with witchcraft and satanism (witches were routinely accused of rendering men impotent), and it becomes understandable why India has a lower profile than Condi Rice!

Clinton was made fun of because he had a cat rather than a dog. I've always thought that was because a dog was considered more "macho," but this changes things.

GET THEE BEYOND ME, ASHCROFT!
UNCLEAN! UNCLEAN!

18. Maybe your version makes more sense anyway--
I wouldn't particularly WANT Satan behind me, if you see what I mean. :+

Never been to Sunday School, btw, and glad of it. Though maybe if I had, I could understand the Christ-y thing a little better

16. Spot the Devil
Claim: Attorney General John Ashcroft believes calico cats are a sign of the devil.
Status: Undetermined.

Origins:
This has to be one of the most bizarre items we've had to tackle in recent memory.
The "Attorney General John Ashcroft believes calico cats are a sign of the devil" claim began with a 20 November 2001 article by Democratic Party treasurer and financial writer Andrew Tobias, in which he wrote:

Shortly after becoming Attorney General, John Ashcroft was headed abroad. An advance team showed up at the American embassy in the Hague to check out the digs, saw cats in residence, and got nervous. They were worried there might be a calico cat. No, they were told, no calicos. Visible relief. Their boss, they explained, believes calico cats are signs of the devil. (The advance team also spied a statue of a naked woman in the courtyard and discussed the possibility of its being covered for the visit, though that request was not ultimately made.)

19. I'm sorry.. where did "Willie" come from?
Edited on Mon May-31-04 11:22 AM by Caliphoto
Ruben Sierra. El Indio. And they get "WILLIE"? I think it's actually named after Willie Horton.. the man that won the election for George Bush Senior... Bush is THAT sick.
