How about George W. Bush for Kerry VP?
Edited on Sat May-29-04 10:53 AM by TruthIsAll
How about George W. Bush for VP? Let Kerry draft him, even if Bush decides to stay on the GOP Residential ticket.

Think of the advantages. They are huge. Kerry grabs the right fundie Xtian wingnuts. He can keep those Bush policies which they find attractive: unending war, pledge of allegiance, Mars voyage, destruction of Abu Graib.

Kerry can get James Baker as our special mideast Oil envoy. And how about Colin Powell as UN Ambassador? They would love him over there.

And Diebold can keep their paperless vote-stealing machines. No need for Bush to cheat.

Finally, Bush gets a once in a lifetime opportunity to avoid being charged as a War Criminal. He'd like that.

As for Cheney, let him perform at marionette shows. Condoleeza Rice can go and fly bullshit into neocon buildings. Perle can sing songs for our children. Rumsfeld can go play with the firecrackers that Bush did not get to use on frogs. Ashcroft can sing hymns while playing with snakes in church. Tom Ridge can buy a coloring book and draw some pictures of terrorists.

Bill Frist should be invited to join the administration as Director of Animal studies. Tom DeLay should become head of congressional software program maintenance; he has vast experience in killing bugs as well as eavesdropping on Democratic emails.

Kerry-Bush is unbeatable.

2. Satire is nice. I have frequently thought that people propounding Repug
VP candidates were doing satire... but they were not. I hope your post convinces them how SAD it is that they think we NEED TO BECOME what we are fighting.

9. No! McCain's sense of humor is more finely honed...
Have you heard the one about the adolescent girl?:

"Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly?
Because her father is Janet Reno." -John McCain, at a Republican Senate fund-raiser in 1998
-----------
snip>
The joke may be crude, but it pales in comparison with the published details surrounding the presidential sex scandal. McCain's two-liner conveys some interesting insights into what he considers humorous (lesbianism, a young woman's physical appearance), particularly since it was delivered to a Republican crowd. Remember, this is the party that champions pro-family values.

Is this episode common knowledge? I just ran across it and can't find any rebuttals. There's an apology reported in the article and then it faded into the ether.

I really don't understand this "McCain for VP" idea. It's so ridiculous.

10. Another plus: Bush is experienced; he will be a uniter on the ticket
Let's bridge the gap between the Fascist Nazis and the Democrats.

Let's share power with the Neocons.

That's it. A winner.

Forget McCain or Hegel. McCain is too close to the center; he can't get us the fringe fundie votes and the politically powerful maximum 80IQ demographic. Hegel is the BBV problem, not the solution.

It's Bush and only Bush. Even if he's a loser, he wins.

as his running mate!

Sound ridiculous to anybody? Well, now you know how I feel about Kerry-McCain.
