DLC PsyOps! Good News! Nader runs off Kerry to Satisfy Left/Kerry takes
Edited on Fri May-28-04 05:47 PM by KoKo01
Center/but Dean/Kucinich Voters and Nader Supporters are also on his heels.

Word is in "some Dem Circles" that Kerry finishes best when he's "down to the wire" and "when he has attack dogs at his heels. So, DLC PsyOps (now emersed in the Rove Book} of how to "Position a Candidate," are now positioning our Best Candidate (the best because he won in Iowa/NH)to TRASH THE BUSCO in NOVEMBER.

It's BRILLIANT! Give it to us Dems to OUTFOX the FOXES every time...and I mean this in all sincerity.

How Kerry is being postioned by the DLC with Soros Money being funneled out to "GET THE VOTE OUT" which has given some money to Dem Operatives is really an "END RUN" around the Repugs! And, believe me here in the South the money from Soros is making a difference with "operatives" getting grassroots organized.

They Won't know what hit 'em.

Do I agree with this strategy...being that I'm a "purist Left of Center/DLC Democrat? NO! But, I do understand it. Dire times mean one has to compromise even deeper and forgo "Priciples" for "Electability."

I'm just sad that THIS is what it's come down to. BUT...we can't quibble about this stuff (we on the Lefty Fringe) we've got to "choke down" what's being fed us..because REALLY IT's the BEST WE HAVE!

Go with it...and then we can work to change all this...cough it down gagging all the "Beltway Crap/Pundit Crap/Party Crap." Choke it down and deal with it.

WE will live to see another day. We've been forced to where we are. Much COMPROMISE IS ASKED.

(This is my rant...stuff that gives me nightmares..but, I've finally understood something about all this I can live or deal with.)

1. Keep Soros out of it. Soros is like Sausage
Edited on Fri May-28-04 05:47 PM by Alerter_
I don't like Soros and I don't trust him. So, he's a crook that is smart enough to know that Bush is going down hard, so he wants to "buy in" to the Democratic party now. Good for his business. Bad for us. If he wants to donate, let him, just tell him to keep his mouth shut. Americans aren't interested in Soros' neo-liberal "Open Society" cult.

Aside from Soros, you are right on. Kerry/Gore 2004!

2. Soros has a long history of giving to humanitarian groups
He has just neglected to do much giving within his own adopted country. I guess he looked at the GDP and thought we were all rich, that the other fatcats hadn't been hoarding it all.

He's just lately awakened to the fact that his adopted country is in real trouble, and that if he wants to sustain the system that allowed him to succeed, he's going to have to give some help at home.

Yeah, he's a little late for most of us. At least he finally noticed, and for that I'm grateful.

9. Soros does whatever he wants, I'm not interested in his opinion
If Soros is a Democrat, so am I. Lots of Democrats with lots of different opinions. Just because Soros is a rich crook I'm supposed to care about his opinion? If he's going to vote Democratic and donate to the party, good for him. Other than that, I couldn't care less about Zoros.

13. Believe me on this..thanks to DU I became active in my local community...
and the "Soros Money" is flowing. The problem is...it's all dispersed so far that it's fragmenting and fracturing what's "Left of DLC."

Believe me once more...(I wouldn't lie to you being here 3 YEARS would I) that the "Soros Money" is the only NEW money and our Dem Party is using some of us scurrilously in the attempt to make it "look like Grassroots Dems have an Active Campaign with "Meet Ups" for Kerry but in the end..it's just trying to "corral us" into that big "hog pen" out there owned by the "Agri-Business."

I wouldn't lie to you about this.

But...we must keep with Kerry because he's the ONLY alternative. We have to examine WHY he was the ONLY ALTERNATIVE..another day, down the road.

We have so much work to do. I'm thankful for the "Soros Infusion," but seeing how shallow it is in "Grassroots"...I'm skeptical...

Okay? Just a "warning" here.

16. I think you're correct
I think I agree with you about this. We have to do what we have to do - and if cooperating with Soros and his cronies are what it takes, we might have no choice. But I'm not going to fool myself. Good post, thanks.

3. What? I am totally confused. What's going on?
Could you clarify this tactic that is being used? I really don't understand what you mean. How is Kerry's "positioning" related to the grassroots campaign? And how does Nader fit in?
Perhaps I'm dense, but I really do not get what you are saying here.

5. Shorter KoKo01-
The cool kids will vote for Kerry, but we are too smart to be fooled that Kerry is just like Bush...except he isn't.

Clearer now?

14. Dem leaning Print Pundits have said that Kerry "Fights Best" when he has
someone "dogging him on his tail." Nader is "dogging Kerry on his tail."

Should I believe the Dem Pundits? Is Kerry a "coaster" who needs lots of stimulation to "get his butt in gear."

You tell me? What I've seen so far is that Kerry is so "nuanced" that having "dogs on his heels" does make him "think better." :eyes:

look at Bush in 2004 as recent example.

As to kerry and "heel nipping," he is indeed a strong closer - I saw it first hand in Iowa; he was amazing - he worked like hell.

But I don't think it is all about heel nipping, I think it is more about getting the *opponent to underestimate him early on* and then focus on the last part of the campaign and come out BLASTING! Remember, he is a prosecutor, so strategy is a big thing for him.
