Poll Shows Voters Prefer Drinking with Bush at Barbecue

Poll Shows Voters Prefer Bush at Barbecue
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=817&ncid=757&e=10&u=/ap/20040526/ap_on_fe_st/barbecue_poll

I thought that was a joke at first until seeing the link and it’s a real poll.

Its amazing they would even run a poll like that. Why waste all the time, energy and money on something as ridiculous as that??

Why? .. Because that’s all Bush has left going for him.

All of Bush's economic policies are a failure on historic levels.

After the 911 hearings showed he was warned and did nothing, he cant use the terror card.

The war in Iraq is a disaster that’s getting worse almost by the day.

Now.. the only thing Bush is good for is someone to get drunk with.

That’s about as pathetic as you can get.

Best
Kelley

PS If you do drink with him, keep the pretzels away from George or he might get the hell beat out of his face.

5. What garbage....

When did it become so fucking important to want to hang out and get drunk with the President?

Was there ever a poll in the 60's like this? Our country is fucking braindead.

8. that's not all
Why do people call Bush so likeable. Even Paul Begala spouts that nonsense all the time. Bush seems like a smug, selfish, smirking asshole to me. Is that the new definition of likeable?

17. I have, because I recently knew someone just like him
Oddly enough he was from Texas. He had me fooled to a point. I just barely got to know him, but I discovered later that he was really running a con. He was very likable and on a personal level knew how to push people's buttons. He especially knew how to get them to feel some sense of empathy for his "plight." He figured out that I didn't like people who drank, so he told me he was going to AA. He made a point to tell me over and over again about a situation where he payed back someone who he owed money. I got a campaign shirt for him, and had him help me with a friend's campaign, and he charmed people left and right. Also payed me for the shirt. He was really working on me, but I didn't fall for it all the way.
Learned later he had been an IV drug user at one time, and had a terrible history of borrowing money and ripping people off. Basically he was a con man. He had gotten together with some woman and was ripping her off, but I heard the story the other way around. His art was playing victim. He knew I was sort of an atheist and talked about being conflicted about religion because his family had messed him all up when he was a kid. He had some mutual friends convinced that he and I were a couple. Nothing of the sort ever took place, though I considered him a friend at one time. He had started getting on my nerves with trying to con me with his sympathy game.
Bush is a great campainger because he works exactly like this guy. The first time I met him he saw a campaign shirt I was wearing. He said, "I'm so glad to see a Democrat!"
These narcissists are effective because they hit people on a superficial level and then target their empathy centers. Bushes Dummy act has been the "it" factor that has strung the general public along. Many people feel empowered by a president who would feel uncomfortable in a room full of scientists just as they would.
I mentioned he was from TX. This guy used to work for Halliburton!

14. That’s the whole point!
This is not important to any real people.

The media are running these poll questions.

That’s all they have left.. The only poll question left where Bush can win.

(btw, he still wins even this BS by less than the margin of error)

Edited on Fri May-28-04 12:54 AM by lapfog_1
would want to hang with W at the BBQ if he told them that each and
every family at the BBQ would have to "chip in" $2,000 (maybe $3,000)
to "support a little overseas adventure" that W thinks is a great
opportunity (and, oh BTW, one of the young people, by winning the BBQ's
lottery, gets killed in the process).

I don't give a flying fuck about who I'd rather share bar-b-q with. Okay, Bobby Flay. And for a beer, okay, Robin Williams. For a Pres, I prefer a grown-up.

Call me crazy (and they do) that way.

What a stoopid-ass, MTV Real World, question.

asking who you'd rather have a beer with, Gore or Bush. Of course Bush came out ahead on the beer question but Gore still beat him by half a million votes in the election.

18. Who would you rather dine with at a fine French restaurant?
John Kerry - speaks fluent French, can read the menu, could carry on an interesting conversation over a 5-course meal,

Or

gw* - can barely speak English, can't read, would knock over the desert cart, would fart through the last 3 courses...and would use up his conversational abilities before you were seated at the table.

24. Forget the barbecue question - look at the other ones!
"More voters also would trust Bush, 46-41, to run the family business. But voters were evenly split on whether they would rather have Kerry or Bush teach their children."

Bush is the last person to trust with your money. He's ruined every balance sheet he's had his hands on. And yet more voters think he could run a family business???

And as for letting Bush teach your children - he couldn't. Plain and simple. He's a useless public speaker, even with someone else writing it for him, and teleprompters. He's legendary for being completely helpless when trying to answer questions - no public figure from any country in the last hundred years has been so clueless. He scraped a 'C' at university because of who his father was, and is so unknowledgable about his supposed major, history, that the USA is now held in more contempt than at any time before.

The only things Bush is good at are raising money, and lying through his teeth. I'd pick him if I needed to bribe someone to provide me with an alibi; apart from that, forget it.

Then we could eat some pretzels, and swallow some whole hot dogs too.

We could go riding our Segways and mountain bikes, juggle some chainsaws, fly some small airplanes and helicopters.

It would be so much fun!!!!! Come to my BBQ, George!
