I just read this in my news paper, I'll only post a small part of the letter entitled "Abuse is not enough"

"I hope that more abuse is going on 'over there' than what's being published. Hail to Bush. At least he had the guts to do something about 9/11. Al Gore would have gone crying to the other liberals for advice. Abuse is not enough. Death is justified."

All I can say is HOLY SHIT.

Hail to Bush? That's the most ridiculous thing I've EVER seen in print. I suppose this person forgets that 90% of everyone that was in Abu Ghraib was innocent, but yet, death is justified? That is by far the most disgusting thing I've read since the scandal broke.

This paper has been Scaife's tool to get Westmoreland County to lose it's collective mind and vote repuke.

Scaife is a rich boy who inherited the dirty money of his robber baron ancestors. He is a recovering alcoholic and he also supposedly murdered is brother in law..but it was covered up as a suicide by rifle...

just like Scaife. Bet that if you wrote a "liberal" response to that LTTE, your letter would never be published.

I live in Westmoreland County and the Trib has gobbled up every other independent newspaper in the county. Westmoreland County has swung increasingly to the right and I cannot help but believe that Scaife's monopoly of the written media has been partially responsible.

At my school, Pitt-Greensburg, its more than obvious.

The school is supplied with about 100 free Tribs every day! While we carry other newspapers, in the library, the Trib is accessible in the main dining hall, which makes its brand of bullshit very accessible to students.

We could use it when they start obviously parroting right-wing talking points. Maybe we should all pick a month, say July, where every single liberal across the United States does this the entire month, until they are begging for us to at least act sane. Then maybe we can start actually dealing with the issues.
