7. a lot more than just the ballot box

to the war crimes courts with our war criminals and the politicians who supported them, just like the Nuremberg trials.

To the world media with our disapproval of Israel's tactics and policies, to the UN with great humility, and to the world at large with an apology for letting our Supreme Court start everything that has been wrong with this administration by interfering with the political process in the most partisan manner possible four years ago and destabilizing the very definition of democracy. We need to go the world community with an apology for invading a country based solely on the premise of WMD that never existed, and then pretending we did it for human rights causes when we systematically ignore human rights abuses in other countries that make Saddam look like Mother Theresa. We need to go to the world environment with responsibility for our part in global warming and an acknowledgement of it and a plan for reversing it. So much extraordinary damage to our image has been done in four years on so many levels, it will be a miracle if we can undo the damage before our children are made to suffer for the sins of Bush.

There is a lot more work to be done / undone than merely voting before we will have the respect of the world community again.

I'm SOOOOO disappointed. I did the "Duck and Cover" bit and was reprimanded for opining aloud that the concept was rather silly on its face, we Social Studied our enviroment and I dared ask why we continued with petroleum as there were so many more options. I noted that big biz had the same mentality of a cancer cell...

Back in the w-a-y-b-a-c-k when I watched those towers go up I met lot's of Russian students who in our late night beer-addled discussions ASSURED ME that Harvard Business School would take America down before the "communists" even found their weapons. Meanwhile a brother, cousin or neighbor got shipped off to a hellhole FOR BULLSHIT and IF returned, FOREVER CHANGED, for what?

Present company see our survival based on our interdependence with each other and our host, Mother Earth.

So many more have no access or chance, being surrounded as they are by the "echo chamber" even if they have the ability... brainwashed, stressed, poisoned in more ways than 17, self-centered, clueless...

that Bush needs to go, and that a lot of apologies have to be made for his actions, but the assumption that everything was on track before Bush, and that in 4 years the global reputation of your country went from saint to sinner, is ridiculous.

Kerry is a good first step, but just trying to get back to the golden age of 4 years ago isn't gonna cut it.
