Letter to Mc Cain from me.
Dear Senator McCain,

I'm a life long Democrat and am writing to you to consider the possibility of becoming John Kerry's running mate. Our country is being torn apart by this war and I believe that a unity ticket would do alot to heal the extreme division in this country.

For the good of the nation, for the safety of America and for our children, please help heal this nation and forge an alliance with John Kerry. Only a reasonable Republican and a reasonable Democrat can come to the real compromises that we need to come together and move forward as a single nation.

We need to take the politics out of the war. We must solve the Iraq situation on a bi-partisan basis. Please consider this great personal sacrifice for the good of our nation.

Thank you for your kind consideration.

Sincerely,

1. Yeah, whatever.
McCain has stated repeatedly that he fully supports Bush's foreign policy, and that he has exhibited "moral clarity" as CINC, leading the nation in the war against terror.

That's exactly what we want in a VP candidate -- someone who believes that the head of the opposing ticket exhibits "moral clarity" and "fine leadership".

2. Second that
I think I'll write a letter to McCain telling him to ignore all of these wimp Democrats he's hearing from and expend his efforts and political capital to clean up his own party.

8. Hello, I'm reality. Have we met?
Bush has endorsed the neoconservative vision of American foreign policy.

McCain has said that he fully supports Bush's foreign policy, and he feels that Bush has exhibited "moral clarity" in leading the nation in the war on terror (TM).

Please explain to me, again, how exactly this would end the neoconservative movement. I'll give you some time to put your head back together after it explodes trying to reconcile the above facts.

20. IOW, you don't have an answer.
Now that we've gotten that out of the way, we can all move on to important things in our lives.

majority of our esteemed president's policies.

Yea, I guess your right, I'm wrong. Kerry should pick a republican. Sorry, didn't mean to disagree with you.

19. No, conservative ideas like pre-emptive war
I give credit to McCain where it is due -- and his stance on tax cuts is one that exhibits some common sense.

However, the guy is a total hawk. He fully and completely supported the conquest of Iraq. He endorses the idea of preventative (meaning: aggressive) war.

Of course, if you're OK with such things, go right ahead with your bad self.

17. All this McCain worship crap reminds me of "The Snake"
THE SNAKE
Al Wilson

On her way to work one morning
Down the path along side the lake
A tender hearted woman saw a poor half frozen snake
His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew
"Poor thing," she cried, "I'll take you in and I'll take care of you"
"Take me in tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in, tender woman," sighed the snake

She wrapped him all cozy in a comforter of silk
And laid him by her fireside with some honey and some milk
She hurried home from work that night and soon as she arrived
She found that pretty snake she'd taken to had bee revived
"Take me in, tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in, tender woman," sighed the snake

She clutched him to her bosom, "You're so beautiful," she cried
"But if I hadn't brought you in by now you might have died"
She stroked his pretty skin again and kissed and held him tight
Instead of saying thanks, the snake gave her a vicious bite

"Take me in, tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in, tender woman," sighed the snake
"I saved you," cried the woman
"And you've bitten me, but why?
You know your bite is poisonous and now I'm going to die"
"Oh shut up, silly woman," said the reptile with a grin
"You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in

"Take me in, tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in, tender woman," sighed the snake

21. McCain is a PNACer!!!!
He may not have signed the PNAC documents - but he is 100% in their camp. When it somes to foreign policy he is every bit as much of an asshole as Bush/Cheney/Rummy/Wolfie etal.

Did you not see the op-ed piece that McCain and our 2nd most despised Dem, Lieberman, authored together last week?

I am so fed up with this Trojan Horse McCainshit streaming from uninformed, clueless Dems. You don't speak for me Chicago Dem - I am an Arizonan and would never, ever vote for McCain - not even for local dog catcher. Thanks a lot for puffing up the ego of my already egotistical Senator whom I want to be soundly beaten in his re-election bid in Nov by a DEMOCRAT!

24. You're proud of this
:wtf:

McCain likes media coverage so every now and then, he throws out a bone to generate publicity and attention, and sucker a few, alleged lifelong Dems. But the truth is he's a whore for Bush. PERIOD.

We don't want him and we don't need him. As our primaries (with the exception of Lieberman) proved, we've got plenty of good Dems. How weak we would appear, if we have to beg from the other party to get a winning ticket.

Sheesh, we need a friggin opposition to repukes, McCain included, who have let this country devolve to this point by their petty partisanship.
WE DON'T NEED TO TEAM UP WITH ONE OF THEM, and McCain is first and foremost -- one of THEM!
