We are being set up
and I think y'all know this. Terror threats according to the current admin. are "designed to depose them". Uh yeah, they have screwed up to the max and deserve re-election???...They u-no-hoos will attempt to claim, just in time for the general election that the "terrorists" are attempting to steal the election FROM BUSH". Pay attention, as the spin is starting even as we speak. They are attempting to hijack the will of the people to elect someone other than them. They cannot conscience this and will use every lie in the book to compromise the upcoming election. Be on RED ALERT! Look for oddities in your local polling places!!

1. Interesting point
I figured a terrorist attack this summer or fall could cause a "rally 'round the flag" effect. But even a threat of an attack could throw the election over to Bush if the American people think that Al Quaida is trying to influence the election. Nobody likes to think that someone is forcing them to vote one way...they'll just vote the other way to spite them. People will say, "We'll show you. You can't influence our election like you did in Spain."

The irony is that I think Al Quaida wants Bush reelected because he's a good recruitment aid for them.

2. Some will fall for it
but I think we may have forgotten one thing when worrying about the general public. We HATE to be lied to, especially by the man and the man has now lost his credibility with those who were willing to give him a chance. We always knew but now they do as well. I hope I am right.

5. Some words from Hunter S. Thompson
"The electorate will tolerate almost anything except a sudden unexplained jump of 15 cents a gallon at the pump."

- 'Two More Years,' Examiner 1986

Vietnam took ten years. Watergate took six. And that was with a media not beholden finacially to Bush policies.

Just sayin'.

6. OK
My personal experience, I admit it is a bit limited, has been that the groups in Kansas that would be most likely to support him seem really pissed AND embarrassed. To me this is huge. It is also possible that I am trying as hard as I can to find something positive after the last few weeks. Somebody needs to slap me out of it!

12. Watergate only took 2 years
Break-in-- June 1972
Resignation-- August 1974

However, it took 22 years for the American public to realize that the "Checkers" speech was all a bunch of BS

3. Bush and Co. terrorize us more than the terrorists do.
"Be afraid!" "They're coming!" "They're here!" "Only we can protect you!" "We have Saddam. You are safer now!" "No, you're not. I forgot. Be aaaaaafffffrrrrraaaaaiiidd. Be very affffrrrraaaiiidddd!" "This is why I'm president. I know how to handle these guys. I know how to shake them out of their spider holes. I know how to make terrorists faster than anybody can kill them. But, we're better to fight them there than here. Oh! But, there here!!!!! Vote for me..... Bring them on! I am THE man."

8. If we've ever had officials willing to resort to domestic terrorism
to attain a political goal, it's the men and women of the Bush administration. They're without a doubt the most extremist, ideological, ruthless bunch to ever defile the place.

I wouldn't put it past them. As Bush's numbers continue to plummet, I almost expect it.

15. Have you ever wondered what Timothy McVeigh really knew?
...I do...I sometimes have thought that he was special ops in the military and that he knew things that turned him on the gov't...and that they wanted him gone...even though it was in Clinton's reign, I still have always wondered, what if he had lived to see 9/11? What would he have told us?

17. I am sure that McVeigh took a lot of secrets with him to the...
...grave and that Nichols will do the same. There does not appear to be doubt any longer that there were others involved and a lot of evidence still missing....but I think all the others have been given a pass for some reason. Makes you feel safe knowing those people are still running around out there somewhere, doesn't it?

11. The propaganda is in full swing!
We have already been warned about potential suicide bombers without any valid intelligence.

Now, more of the same is coming. Al Queda in the US, planning a major attack in the summer, yet we get no details - Ashcroft to hold press conference tomorrow.

When all else fails, scare the people. Somebody else had the exact same propaganda and it worked quite successfully! We all know that outcome.

This is scary stuff this admin. is pulling! Many people will fall for it since they believe * is a bad ass cowboy, tough guy who can control the "terrorists".

14. Isn't yelling "terrorist attack coming"
with no valid proof akin to yelling "fire" in a crowded theater when there is none? I believe there's a law against yelling fire.
