Oh, Michelle's husband's gonna kill her...
You remember my expeditor Michelle, the one with the borderline hypoglycemia I gotta watch to make sure she doesn't stagger into the racking in a low-blood-sugar crisis. (Since I've been paying attention to when she eats, I haven't had any more problems. Thanks for the assistance.)

Well, her husband has been stationed in Korea for the last six months. About six months before he left, he paid cash for a Navigator as a family car. They have three kids at home and never drive it off-road, and the oldest one just graduated from high school.

Her car's been in the shop for about two months because the front end's screwed up, so she's been driving the Navigator. Badly. She can barely see over the steering wheel. And, of course, the thing gets about three gallons to the mile, so the economics work against it.

Yesterday she left early. "There's something I have to do. I'll show you what it is tomorrow, but I have to go." Okay fine, no problem there, all her work was done so no problem there.

This morning she pulled in behind me. In an Element. Turns out the trade-in value on Navigators is still high enough in Fayetteville that she could trade the Navigator straight across for two Elements, so now she has two Elements.

Fortunately, her husband's not that violent.

4. Yes.
For the rest of you: an expeditor is the liaison between the store and our independent installer crews. My store has three sets of expeditors: millwork (my end of the building) has one, flooring has two and kitchens has two.

10. I'm probably losing this expeditor within two weeks
Which will be a shame--she's great.

But it's the most stressful expeditor position in the building (which is like asking which is better, being buried hip deep in shit next to Joe's Searchlight Service or being buried hip deep in shit next to Fred's Gong Sales and Service) so they never last. Six months is about the limit over here.

8. Worked for Big Brother Orange here in Raleigh.
3 years in Paint primarily, but I was one of those horrible SA's that walked the entire store and took customers with me. I never pointed unless I was deeply involved already. Wroking in the BOB. Damn, it was an interesting job, to be sure.

Oh B.O.B. = Big Orange Box.
