THIS was on FreeRepublic.com???
AMERICA’S NEW POLITICAL AGENDA AND FOREIGN POLICY

1. Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

2. The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

3. Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness.

4. "Standing Tall for America" means firing your workers and moving their jobs to India.

5. A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

6. Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

7. The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

8. Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican.

9. If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

10. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

11. HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.

12. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

13. Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but Creationism should be taught in schools.

14. Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Daddy Bush made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Baby Shrub needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

15. A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defence policy.

16. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the internet.

17. The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George W. Bush's driving record is none of our business.

18. You support states' rights, which means Attorney General John Ashcroft can tell states what local voter initiatives they have a right to adopt.

19. What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant.

20. Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is Communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

And it amounted to calling the poster an unreasoning hate filled idiot. No actual rebuttal or anything. Just a lot of tsk tsk tsk.

I see that your account has been closed. Gee...now there's a surprise.
It's a shame, but you are truly lost if you believe any of the so-called double standards you listed has much more than a shred of truth. It is painful to read such a twisted emotionally based attempt at reason.

I have pity for you. After reading your tirade, I imagine you to be consumed by your hatred and your anger. How do you stand being you? How painful your life must be. Sad.

When you are able to see life as it really is instead of the bizarre cacophony of falsehoods you've listed, your life will improve. Good luck getting the help you clearly need.

next response freepers comments in bold

I guess I'll take a stab at it:
1. Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

I think there is general agreement here that if Rush broke a law he should pay. And yes it is a failing if you try to remove pain with drug abuse instead of the taking care of the cause of the pain. In some cases it is a crime (if you manipulate prescriptions or purchase illicit drugs) and sometimes it isn't (alchohol).

2. The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

The highest priority is protecting this country. If the U.N. happens to agree with us but does not act, that is their problem.

3. Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness.

I think you'll see a quite a bit of arquing here at FR over marijuana, however it is still a crime to use it. I fail to see your arguement as to why we need to make capitalism a crime when it has provided bounty to billions around the world.

4. "Standing Tall for America" means firing your workers and moving their jobs to India.

Standing Tall for America means letting American conduct their business without harassment.

5. A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

The ultimate regulation on corporations is the market. I won't even begin to address your point on abortion, however I note your point 13 where you don't trust women to inform themselves on the dangers of smoking before doing it.

6. Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

Nonsensical diatribe - no comment needed.

7. The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

This is actually a complex arguement regarding veteran's benefits - who is to be considered a veteran? Do you sacrifice the benefits of combat veterans by expanding benefits to everybody who has served? Personally I would happly cut 60% of the federal budget to properly fund Vet benefits, but you Dems have too many social engineering projects entrenched in the Fed budget to make that possible. The second part of your argument is completely false unless you are referring to Bill Clinton.

8. Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican.

End your sentence before "unless" and you are fine. We are all sinners, but that doesn't mean they should no longer be sins.

9. If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

Here's a novel idea: lets use schools for education instead of being a pharmacy outlet. Thanks for the rubbers mommy-state may I have some more!

10. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

Or find new allies who are willing to work with you to destroy the world's biggest problem and reward them as such. (I won't run down my list with you, but your list is pretty much limited to France and Germany.

11. HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.

Strawman arguement - HMOs and insurance companies exist to make money and should be regulated by the market like everything else. If the government provides bad service where do you go?

12. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

Please provide documentation on how the Iraqis have universal health care. Perhaps you are referring to getting hospitals open? I'm pretty sure most US hospitals are already open, except those that have been shut down by Dem trial lawyers.

13. Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but Creationism should be taught in schools.

Let me parse your words - Global warming and second hand smoke are junk science. Global warming occured on Mars too - how many SUVs are on Mars again?

14. Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Daddy Bush made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Baby Shrub needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

Perhaps you should do an internet search on "Cold War", "Iran Hostage Crisis", and "Gulf War" to understand America's role in Iraq.

15. A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defence policy.

Lying under oath is an impeachable offense. I defy you to show where President Bush has lied.

16. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the internet.

If a marriage amendment is added to the Constitution it is "named" genius. Just an unfortunate necessity due to activist judges abusing their powers. I'm not sure what you are referring to in regard to censoring the internet; have you recieved a visit from the Secret Service after posting presidential death threats?

15. Logic and the freep sheep are mutually exclusive.
One can point out facts about the mis-administration and their collective response is generally "you're filled with hatred" or "you're angry" or some other simple minded Limbaugh response their pea brain might come up with. ("Rush, Hannity, Coulter, etc said it, they believe it and that settles it.")

They blindly accept every piece of crap this mis-administration tosses at them, no matter how many times they get bent over or how many people get bent over.

I try not to argue with the fools. It takes too much time from what is important, which is getting the moran and the moran's buddies out of power.

16. I like the response. It is thought out and shows ideology
I can find numerous holes in the replies but it is a reasoned approach. This freeper isn't quite as rabid as the majority. He/she is at least trying to use rationale in his/her response. The main jist from what I gather is Business should never be regulated. The market will self regulate. I find that incredibly naive but I can understand the the reasoning. I find it flawed but I understand. I would like to have an opportunity to go down the list item by item and debate them. I think we all could learn a thing or two.

13. I love it too, so sweet the sound of TRUTH!
I'll bet the 'Moran Social Club' is buzzing like a little hornet's nest if they read past point number one! You can draw more flies with shit than you can with sugar and the Morans eat the Bushit up like candy! The truth it too sweet for the flies because their mission in life is simply and I do mean SIMPLY, to eat shit and bother people!
