2. it's the reality of the IT world
most IT people are male. blogging started as an IT phenom. in time, as "real journalists" pick up on the fact that their whole profession has been scooped, i think we'll begin to hear more from the female perspective. but the word is out, blogging is where it's at, and you can bet your bottom that if for no other reason than to make money (ads), we'll have diversity in blogging some day soon.

i started one once, but found that i'd rather post comments than manage a board. but then again, i'm lazy.

5. Women would blog if we had more time...
....but we're too busy running around like chickens with their heads cut off--kids, job, you name it--to concentrate on a daily blog.....that's one reason.

8. Check out the articles
http://www.newsgarden.org

It's a site for articles from all over the political spectrum by news junkies on IRC. I think about half the articles are by women.

10. I want to start one
where I watch the US House of Reps. and report. There are things that I've seen happen there that I think should of been reported to the public. I will admit I'm a little afraid/intimidated to do it though. Do you have any suggestions for what works best or tutorials?

12. Honestly? For me, it's that I don't like having every private thought out
there for discussion.

Blogs, in my experience, tend to cause problems. A lot of my friends have them, and are dealing with interpersonal headaches because of them.

Also, I don't have one because my webspace doesn't currently have CGI capability, so I can't use Movable Type, and I don't like the web based services. Have considered doing one with just plain HTML (Gasp!) but.... being lazy. I've got better things to do.

16. I'm female and i have a blog
but it's just about boring personal stuff. right now i'm keeping it free of my political rants b/c we have family members to the right who we dont' want to offend.

that's the current policy, don't know how long i can keep it up thought ;)
