Rumsfeld bans camera phones

LONDON (AFP) - Cellphones fitted with digital cameras have been banned in US army installations in Iraq (news - web sites) on orders from Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, a business newspaper reported.

When all else fails, take away the cameras! yeah, that's the solution! He doesn't care if the abuse goes on (he ordered it afterall) just for God's sake don't let anyone send pictures of it home!!!

People have been allowed to walk around on military bases with cell phones with digital cameras until NOW?
They should have been banned a long time ago.
The abuse aside....I am surprised they were still carrying them on military installations.

If the goofball had any knowledge of modern technology, he'd have banned digital cameras! I'm sure there's lots of them floating around, along with a lot more pictures that even Rummy doesn't know about yet.

I'm really getting to be a sedistic person lately. Every day there's some new mess revealed about somebody in this admin., and it's the HIGHLIGHT of my day!

Just save them on the phone and wait until you get near a tower to transmit somewhere.

Of course, those pics we have seen were not taken with a cell phone. They are much better (graphically) than what a cell phone gives.
