People of All Nations: Please forgive us. We'll remove bush SOON!
American is going through death and birth pangs now, and many of us have begun a soul searching process, and we realize that we are now under the boots of the most corrupt and criminal administration in our history.

We realize also that our president has enraged and threatened the entire world, and placed our nation on the same level as many recent fascist regimes, whose collective legacies have left millions of dead in their wakes.

Please be patient, and with a little more time, by election or otherwise, we the common people of America will remove this murderous regime from our sight, and we will rebuild the damage that has been inflicted. He does not represent us, he is an embarrassment, and has brought great shame to us. Many of us see that he is unstable and dangerous, and he is the number one terrorist threat to the world at large.

Many of us are in a state of shock, lingering since 9-11. Many nations offered sympathies to us when this awful attack occurred, and many nations felt a connection with the true nature of the people of America. We are a good people, like good people the world over, but a tiny percentage of any population is malignant, and this tiny percentage is often the cause of our problems.

Soon, after bush and his ilk have been removed, we will begin a reaching out process and a healing of wounds will begin. It is our sincerest hope that you do not judge the large majority of America's people by the actions taken by our rogue president and his soon to be forgotten regime.

1. Nice apology!
And the best way to really apologize to the world AFTER the elections is to put that evil AWOL war criminal in jail. The world will rejoice to know that America, the Good America, is back!

2. The good America??.....
Hate to burst the bubble, but....after much research I haven't been able to find out when the good America existed.....

Keywords: Native Americans, African Americans, Slaves, Haiti, Vietnam, Cambodia, Chile, Guatamala, El Salvador, Panama, East Timor, Nicaraqua, Venezuala, Columbia, Afghanistan, and on and on and on......Lots of lies in our history books about what a great, compassionate, defender of democracy we are, only problem is....its all bullshit.

We suck!

5. our short history is long on mass murder
that's true. anybody with a google can look up the awful trail of death in uncle sam's wake, yet we have this 'shining city on the hill' concept of the nation.

i like the 'metropolis' concept better. the old silent movie where the workers live underground, toiling, while the surface dwellers had all the parties.

3. When my kids were young
I taught them to say, "I'm sorry."

When that concept began to roll off the tongue a little too easily, our "graduate studies" became, "There be times when "sorry" is NOT good enough. You MUST think of how your actions may affect others AHEAD OF TIME."

No, the brutal destruction Americans have allowed their *MIC to wreak in Iraq and Haiti and Colombia, working hard to take down Venezuela and Cuba, WILL NOT BE SMOOTHED OVER by a garbled, half-assed apology to the King of Jordan. Get a clue kids. This "regime" is ENTRENCHED IN YOUR GUB'MINT. ALL those nassy pix you've seen REPRESENT THE AMERICAN MENTALITY. Everyone outside of you borders sees it clearly in high-resolution, technicolor panavision.

"SORRY" does not even BEGIN to cover it. The RoTW is losing patience as you whine, "Why do they hate us?" as you STEAMROLLER the blood of innocents into the sand.

4. ... And world, let me be the first to apologize for:
the backroom deals that will allow the Neo-Con fascists to simply walk away from the scene of the crime.

We Americans are indeed the fools you think we are...

Hello DU,

I understand your grief and anger about that embarrassment in the White House and I will certainly forgive America if Bush loses.

The humiliation and torture at Abu Ghreib explicitly show the world what's good and what's fundamentally wrong in America, it hasn't gone unnoticed that those horrible pictures created an outrage in the US.
I consider this outrage to be very healthy and very human and I hope that this is finally the last nail in Bush's coffin.

Karenina correctly pointed out that there are times where saying sorry is not good enough. That's the case for the president. The man lost all credibility when he talks about human rights or democracy. He has to go.
The Geneva Convention is only one among many treaties that the Bush Administration disrespected over the past 4 years. Bending the rules of international diplomacy has done America a lot of harm.

A lot of countries are dying to cooperate more with the US, do us and yourselves a favor and give us someone else to talk to.
I don't think that I need to wish you good luck, Bush seems to have used up his.

Sincerely

MLG
