Another odd comment about Condi's "relationship" with Bush......
Advisers Will Likely Change if Bush Wins

By TOM RAUM, Associated Press Writer

National security adviser Condoleezza Rice (news - web sites) and Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge will likely be asked by Bush to stay, although perhaps in a different capacities.

Rice is not keen to serve again as national security adviser, viewing it as a burnout job, a Rice associate said.

(SNIP)

Bush is almost certain to want Rice for a second term, even if she's reluctant to stay in her current post.

"Rice seems to be so joined at the hip with the Bushes that I'd be kind of surprised if she were to peel off," said presidential scholar Fred Greenstein of Princeton. "She's obviously enormously important for him — as a kind of constant educator, one to unscramble all the complexities."

2. Bush is a right-wing ideologue...
... and Rice is a right-wing ideologue that's a bit smarter than Bush, but not by much. Of course he wants her around, to "unscramble the complexities."

At least in a way that's ideologically acceptable. Stupid is as stupid does.

President."

"Joined at the hip and "peeled off."

There's alot of "innuendo" about their relationship that goes beyond her being a tutor. :eyes:

And remember it's been reported she plays the organ and sings hymns with him at Camp David. I'm surprised she wasn't riding the mountain bike with him this weekend.

10. she sings hymns with him?
"Onward Christian Soldiers, marching on to war" They probably sang it while looking at the torture pictures of Abu Ghraib.

14. No...I'm going "lower." menage a toir with Karen/Condi/Bush and all
that organ music and Bible thumping hymns where they get into the Chimp's psche and turn him on like Blair's tootpast brand, and Putin's Mind did.

I'm going way lower in my view of this article..down in the gutter.

I thank DU'ers who didn't stoop to my "sordid level" where I picked out that she was "joined and the hip...and couldn't peel herself off."

You all, to your credit, picked up the more "intellectual comment" from the article. That she's his "teacher." HA!!!!

12. Triumph of marketing
Apparently, half of America is comforted by the notion that the prez is a hapless dork. Shit, look at Condi. Even she's smitten with her high-maintenance D-grade charge.

13. She views NSA as a burnout job?
Don't you actually have to work hard at a job before you experience burnout?

IMHO, she has coasted throughout her tenure, spending more time learning how to evade the truth than actually accomplishing anything worthwhile.
