When will the media start treating Bush* like Gerald Ford?
Edited on Sat May-22-04 10:56 PM by lunabush
Ford was an accomplished academic and student athlete. Yet, the media chose to portray him as a bumbled, uncoordinated fool.

Bush* was a crappy student and a drunken yell leader in college. He has fallen of a Segway, which is supposed to be idiot-proof - ha! the design and marketing departments of Segway hadn't tested their product on just any idiot when they came up with those slogans. The presidunce* sure showed them what an idiot can do.

Bush managed to nearly kill himself, and perhaps suffered even more brain damage than he was already functioning with by choking on a friggin' pretzel.

He bumps his head getting out of limos and the AF1 Helicopter; he has tripped leaving limos, he knocked over Unca Dicks water glass while giving one of the most important speeches of his political life.

That is just the crap I can recall. Today, Bush* fell off a perfectly good mountain bike. What a moroon.

The media, Leno, Letterman, etc need to remind the public that Bush is making Ford look like Baryshnikov. Man, we need Chevy Chase again.

Of course, those of us who are more snide might suggest that Bush ain't doing manly stuff like biking and watching football with all these incidents - he is either drunk off his ass or someone is beating the crap out of the spoiled rich boy.

2. I asked my partner that same question yesterday-before the bike wreck
and we agreed that, so far, Bush has had Teflon on his awkwardness. Maybe things will start to change now, but I'll be surprised.

How can our "war president" be an inept, bumbling clod? Cokie Roberts, Bill Schneider and Judy Woodruff would soil their undies before they'd talk like that about the "Divine One".

3. I'd rather see them treat him like Nixon... FCOL....
what is it going to take? It seems that the media is still propping up the boy puppet they helped get selected. It's apparently hard for them to face that they acted like lovesick teenagers during the last election season. They overlooked all of dub's shortcomings. They figured as long as he had Poppy's henchmen in tow, how bad could things get?

4. No

Ford was smeared just like Gore was smeared. The media has ALWAYS been right wing. Ford was a moderate, reasonable person. Therefore, the right-wingers liked him even LESS than a Democrat.

Bush is a MEGA-BUMBLER. But he's a right-wing corporate lackey. They will do EVERYTHING to protect him from his own idiocy.

I'm starting to think that Klingon election may be the right way to go. Put Bush and Kerry in a ring together. The last man standing wins the election. There is NO WAY Bush would win ;-)

5. Bush would still cheat and get high honors for inventiveness.
Just like he did in 2000 with a little help from family and friends.
