Trent Lott: "Some of our people need to dobber down a little bit."
Is "dobber" even a word?

Oh, and the high gas prices? It's the Democrats' fault. Read on...

http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/05/20/bush.capitol/index.html

"As for the GOP infighting, Sen. Trent Lott, R-Mississippi., said everyone should stop "grousing" about the various issues that "we're obsessing about in Washington" but do not matter outside the Beltway. "Some of our people need to dobber down a little bit," Lott said.

Lott, who often clashes with the administration, had nothing but praise for Bush's remarks at the private meeting. "It went well," he said. "He looked good and sounded good. I wish every American could have heard what he had to say in that room. He pulls us together and fires us up."

Lott said the president noted the soaring prices for gasoline and blamed congressional Democrats for blocking the administration's broad-based energy plan."

1. I wonder how "fired up" the Log Cabin Republicans were?
He truly is a uniter. Repubs united against sane legislation. Entire world united against the USA. Thanks, Bush. Lott, don't you have a black-face party to get to?

2. A dirt-dobber is like a wasp that packs mud and dobs on his "nest"...
But someone should remind them that it is the Repubs tht have been in control of the House and Senate ever since Dubya stole the White House? so what's the problem? And why wouldn't they release Cheney's secret energy files? Huh?

3. Lott: "I wish every American could have heard" Chimpy
By golly, I agree with Trent. Every American should hear Chimpy. In front of the press. Without scripted or pre-submitted questions. Without his little earphone helper. Weekly. Then Americans would get a real good, complete picture of the fraud currently soiling the White House with his cursed presence.

Pitch forks, staves and torches would soon follow. Be careful what you wish for, Helmet Head.

6. Amazing
Grown men, some elderly, some supposedly intelligent, and a few stupid women, swooning over the most incompetent President this country has ever had.

I just don't get it. Surely the voters from the states represented by
these people have more sense.

10. I wonder if Bush stutters, mumbles, twitches and sweats...
...when he's behind closed doors with 100% of his "base."

Maybe it's all thick, juicy steaks, big icy tumblers of Scotch, and lots of "I'm gonna kick Kerry's ass" rhetoric. Maybe that's what's getting them all fired up...some good old, down-home, "bring it on" bravado that he could never get away with when the cameras were rolling.

17. That's it. Lott meant to say "We Repuglicans need to stop slobbering
all over the Appointee in Chief -- who stutters, mubles, twitches and sweats. Instead, we loYal Republicans need to actually represent the American people and their interests, not the corrupt BushCo Gang and its corporate cronies."

14. The ANWR talking point is pathetic in regards to oil prices.
I hope they really go with this. It's is too easy to shoot down. Frankly, it was too easy when oil was at $25.
