Fox says "Why bother to vote? What difference does it make?"

Kerry, Bush Offer Voters Little Choice
<snip>
The base camps for the two candidates paint the picture in even starker hues. Democrats say this election is about narrowing the gap between rich and poor and about rehabilitating America’s relationship with the rest of the world; Republicans insist that our national security — and perhaps our very existence — depends upon who comes out on top this November.
<snip>
For all the rhetoric, your life really won’t be much different no matter which candidate wins this fall.

I don't find the article persuasive or even interesting. BUT it does remind me that the constant cry of "It doesn't matter who you vote for" that we've heard for the last 30 years (and that seems to discourage about half the public from voting) really is broadcast by some conservative media. And of course the conservatives wouldn't push this line unless they had some reason to believe that they stand a better chance of winning at the polls if much of the electorate is too discouraged to cast ballots.

3. More Dumbing Down
Looks like they're setting those low expectation barriers even lower these days.

It isn't bad enough the Repugnicans have worked hard the last 35 years to make politics so "unsexy" that most people don't vote nor want anything to do with politics.

Now, it looks like they're working on their weak links...they're starting to really see a shift away from their boy (the long denial over the polls is just too far out now) and looks like they're trying to minimalize those who aren't solid with their boy. The die-hards know their manchild is in trouble and will be at the polls, just like we will to get rid of him, it's those who might vote, might not, that Faux is attempting to dumb down.

5. Hahaha..this sure isn't a case of "smart like a Fox" but rather
"dumb as whaleshit". These people are so desperate that they are not thinking clearly. Fox is the alter at which the right wing worships. If they tell people to "foretaboutit" and don't vote, they are 99% more likely to reach a Bush voter than a Kerry voter and inspire them to pass on voting this year. Keep up the good work "morans".

on. LIBERALS need to tell America that ALL Americans are morally responsible, whether they vote or not. because we are at least nominally a "democracy", all Americans are morally responsible for the murder, rape and torture going on in the war on "some" terrorists.

9. And that's where nader can help them. Echoing the meme: stay home
no difference - you are powerless.
Low turnout - fascists win.

He told a caller that if he wasn't going to vote for Bush then he should just stay home.

These repubs are real big on citizenship, eh?

11. So we're taking GOTV advice from Faux?
Oh, I don't hardly think so, mofos!

For you poker players, that's a tell. Faux and its fascist overlords would like nothing more than to see voter turnout down in the low 40s or even high 30s. They know they command 20% of the electorate, give or take. If turnout hits 50%, they're screwed. If it hits 67%, they'll lose in a landslide of historic proportions.

Let this be your spur, DU! Get every person to the polls that you can on November 2.
