When is Clark supposed to declare whether
he is running or not? Now that Biden is out, the picture is clearer.

Latest rumors are around or after Labor Day.

2. I was thinking that if Biden joined Clark wouldn't...

So, I guess now there's nothing to stop Clark from joining the race.

I have very mixed feelings about Biden. While he sickens me almost everytime he opens his mouth with his hawkishness, I think he would have had a very good chance of getting the nomination and of unseating smirk.

7. Biden, all I can see when I think of him
is those damn sleeves on his jacket pushed way up. Damn, Joe, they pay you enough, buy a decent suit. That recollection comes from when he was on the Iran Contra hearings, but I still can't erase it. Glad to see him gone from even considering the race for many reasons. He has risen as far as he deserves to rise. His time has passed, he needs to sit back and do the work of the party now, though he seems kinda DINO to me.

Clark. I hope he will declare after Labor Day so he can counter whatever fearmongering * will toss out after his long, scheming break.

4. Honestly,
Biden was pretty useless. He has the plagiarism baggage and annoys people for most the same reason Lieberman does (RAVE Act anyone? Blech). And he comes from Delaware, which is pretty worthless.

Another tepid, hawkish DLC Senator entering with some foreign policy cred entering the race wouldn't have changed things much either way for Clark, unless Biden had unknown reserves of charisma that he had previously hidden from the rest of the world.

As for when Clark is going to declare, some people are speculating that he will jump in a week or so before Labor Day, in time to get into the New Mexico debate. That seems like a very good reason...
