Today is Ho Chi Minh's Birthday ~ He would be 113 today
Not that I admire "uncle Ho" that much though he led his people well but I will never forget his Birthday as I received a Purple Heart on this day 36 years ago. It was a terriying day for a twenty one year old kid. I was at a firebase five klicks away from LZ Mooney in I Corp. We had penetration in the wire and steady incoming. A day etched forever in my memory. First time I noticed AKs fired green tracers. They were everywhere. Anyway a salute to Ho and to a war being over.

i couLdn't find a better pic of the gas tank. but, if you can't teLL, the bLue is ho chi. i think mao is above ho chi minh. (any I93 drivers shouLd recognize this)
