Just miles from here. I'd argue the first site gives too much information, lol. But I say that only as a 20-mile away neighbor (in the same county)

What brought this up? I am on the campaign staff for the house candidate and I had to ask what Site R was. The letter draft had our proximity to Three Mile Island, DC, Site R, ... and here I found out (not from the candidate) that this is the "Undisclosed location"...

In fact, Tom Ridge is said to live around there now.

I really wish the county could tax the hell out of them, lol. Hazard Pay.

1. that's a blast from the past.
I used to route all of my "morale calls", i.e., free phone calls that were given to people serving in the Middle East, thru Fort Richie. Then it changed to Site R after Richie closed down. Wow. Hadn't heard that name in a while.

2. Fort Richie
My Dad spent several years at Fort Richie, as a civilian (civil servant) back in the seventies. He also had dealings with " Site R" (I can't recall what it was known as back then). He also had dealings with Camp David which is also somewhere in that area.

Definitely a blast from the past, I remember Fort Richie as being a beautiful little post.
