Nader and Kerry to meet tomorrow
John Kerry and Ralph Nader will meet face-to-face Wednesday afternoon for the first time since Nader entered the presidential race, representatives of both campaigns tell CNN tonight.

Nader spokesman Kevin Zeese says the meeting will take place at 2:15pm at Kerry's campaign headquarters in Washington. Zeese says from Nader's perspective, "they are going to talk about issues we have in common for the good of the American people." Zeese says Nader will discuss how "a two-front attack on Bush Inc. will increase the likelihood of a Bush defeat."

Zeese says Nader would not consider any effort to get him out of the race. "Both Ralph Nader and John Kerry have equal rights to run, and both will be around to the end."

Nader had complained Sunday that the Kerry campaign hadn't returned calls after agreeing to a meeting. Zeese said tonight "scheduling problems" had delayed the meeting, and everything "came together" this week. He declined to comment on whether Nader's public complaint helped prompt the get-together.

2. interesting
though they may deny any rumors about ralph putting out, the nader email press list I'm on has more or less went dead over the last several days (as opposed to the usual twice daily messages from the campaign)....

or could this lead to the possibility of ralph and john choosing the same slate of electors, eliminating the spoiler effect?

6. My Nader vote is going to Kerry

I have to vote my conscience, and at this point it is a choice between voting for the person I consider the best candidate, Nader, and risking that Bush remains in office, or hoping that my Kerry vote will be counted. Easy choice. But Nader isn't insane. His vote did not change the outcome of the Bush/Gore election, as Gore still had the majority of popular votes counted and would have had a much larger majority if not for the purges, "negative votes," and other dirty tricks. The Nader vote will not change the outcome of the next presidential election either--putting the blame on Nader for the last outcome was just another of those dirty tricks.

11. Nader got 96,000 votes in FL; Gore "lost" by 537. Nuff said.
That is not to say Bush* would have not been able to find a way to steal the necessary 35,000 or so votes, assuming Gore would have received 65,000 of Nader's votes and Bush 31,000 (a 34,000 plurality).

12. Gore did not lose by 537 votes.
Gore did not lose. Bush did not win.

First a riot by Republican senators disrupted the recount, and then the Supreme Court stopped it. Later estimates of what the recount might have found did not take into account that a black box voting machine which gave Gore 16,000 NEGATIVE votes, was so innacurate that discovery in law suits might have invalidated the entire Florida vote.

I am proud to be from San Diego, home of the only other member of Congress to stand with the Black Congressional Caucus when they tried to protest the fraudulent Florida vote, Rep. Bob Filner, D.,CA.

SAM SEDER: Your vote is not an act of art. It is not an expression of your inner soul. It is not a way for you to show integrity. Voting is an extremely practical endeavor.

It is like saying, “there is something up at the top of those steps, so I will walk up to the top of those steps.”

It is not, “I don’t believe it should be at the top of those steps, and therefore I won’t walk up to get it.”

It is a very practical exercise.

JANEANE GAROFALO: You can be more artistic or more authentic in your daily life:

The way you that you live, the choices you make personally, the way you try to keep your candidates honest, the way you try to watchdog your media and watchdog your government.
