...and has done everything he could to avoid fighting wars and to lessen the loss of life if he had to fight one. He's been that way ever since since his bitter experiences in Vietnam, to include being wounded.

As far as who gets your vote, you better start thinking about who we DON'T want in power for another four years instead of who you don't want as VP.

Think Clark would be perfect. Would completely deny the repugs any credibility on the "national defense" issue. As to comments in other post areas re: possible debate weakness of Clark, I strongly suspect he would be far more assertive against Cheney than he was against members of his own party in the primaries. Know the phrase "Keep your powder dry."?

Kerry has to balance his pro war vote with an anti war one. Either is a good choice.

I dont beleive so, he didn't have to vote against it. And the way he "embraced" the antiwar bloc reeked of opportunism to me. Kucinich and Graham should alot of class and courage in voting against a bill that passed with overwhelming support. And they should be rewarded for that. Also Graham is retiring and we should be looking for ways to keep him in the govt.

he didn't have to vote against it, when he tried to say he wa against the war he didn't really do a great job. "it the wrong war, its being run badly'" like there is a right war or a right way to invade and occupy another country. You need to educate yourself, just like the rest of america.

but he did testify before Congress about it in Sept. of 2002. Most of the predictions he made at the time ended up coming true. Richard Perle certainly thought he was opposed to the invasion on the basis of his testimony.

If you would like to further educate yourself, I can point you to a large number of resources. Who knows, you might come around to liking the General and agreeing that he would make the best pick for VP, or at least to tolerating the idea.:)
