Has anyone seen this picture before?
I found this photo using Shareza. Wasn't Nick Berg working close to this prison? I remember reading one of his emails to a friend back in the states saying that he was taking pictures..."where he was allowed"...this means that the US Army knew he had a camera and knew he was taking pictures.

Could it be possible he was taking pictures like this?

1. I saw them months ago--don't know where--maybe DU?
They seem to have resurfaced again. I think it was during the first part of the war. I thought they were rather odd, but didn't think of Geneva convention violations or abuse then.

2. These pictures date from just after the fall of Baghdad.
What they show is men who had been captured while looting. This happened just after the first round of criticism of the looting of the museum in Baghdad.

Supposedly the US had not yet had time to set up any prison facilities, so to punish looters, the soldiers forced them to strip, and in some cases wrote "Ali Baba" on their chests as a way of indicating they were theives.

They would then be paraded around for awhile before being released.

Well that is the official story anyway.
