TROY - excellent underlying message

Anyone else seen it yet?

I caught it yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the underlying anti-war message.

I really was not expecting at all. Great issues such as wars fought for "God and religion" and the evils of fighting for pride and greed. I especially loved teh exchange between Priam & Achilles when Priam goes to retrieve Hector's body.

Achilles says that he will have safe passage that night but tomorrow witll once again be his enemy. Priam responds that tonight they are still enemies, but that doesn't mean that they can't show respect to one another.

Very topical in light of the recent Iraqi prisoners' torture.

When did it come out? I really enjoy movies from this time.

a lot of American moviegoers are too stupid to pick up an underlying message until someone like Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity points to it as another example of those pesky Hollywood liberals not supporting our great president. Add Brad and Jen to the boycott list.

Thanks, though - I was planning on seeing this movie, anyway, and now I'm really looking forward to it. :)
