Zell isn't going to seek re-election in the Senate so he wants to make sure he can make $$$$$ once he's out of the Senate. I also think he's bitter because things in the US Senate aren't what he expected. Instead of making lemonade and rising above it Zell took the easy route and sold out.......he's a bitter old man.

6. I still have no idea why Democratic Party leadership cannot

publicly admonish and castigate this "old fool" for once and everytime he opens his BIG f**king trap! The fact that the party is supposed to be tolerant does not mean that someone who is that high up in the party hierarchy would go about sabotaging all the party's efforts at setting forth its political message. If Zell Miller is so gong-ho for southern traditions and sensitivities what about being respectful of norms and rules of an institution to which he claims he belongs. And following the party's procedures for presenting and resolving complaints and disputes. Zell is sickening and completely deranged IMHO.

I really hope our party can get it together enough to deal with him by then.

But remember, he supported the war, he supported it as rabidly as the most rabid neocon. The reality of Iraq is trashing his reputation as much as it is trashing the boy monster's reputation. They both lied us into a war, and they both tried to sugar-coat reality for America, and they resulting failure is obvious to all.

8. Consider he still counts as a Democrat

And the headcount in the Senate determines which party has a majority when it comes to handing out powerful committee chairmanships. That's enough reason not to kick his right wing arse out of the party.

Yes, he's a carbuncle on the arse of the party. However, he still counts in this very important way, even if he does sell us out at every other opportunity. Don't be so quick to oust him until you think of all the repercussions.
