BS! These students are going to have to continue this fight against Islam or convert, so they need to know see what the West is up against!
Dsiturbing for a high school student to see? Yes. But necessary.
I am not suprised by the denials put forth by the school administrators. They are,for the most part, in denial about most of reality.

The parents are the type that,"Pull the covers over their heads and wait for it To go away "

Parents are Idiots !!

If I had a son who was 16, 17, or 18, I would want him to see the video. While it sends chills down my spine, it's a simple fact that boys of that age are next on the front lines. They need to know.

Reply 18 - Posted by: Duke Of Duval, 5/15/2004 9:16:38 AM

They at least had demonstrated for them what kind of animals we are fighting in Iraq.

Reply 19 - Posted by: right-turn, 5/15/2004 9:28:57 AM

I did see the video... not something to ever see twice. BUT... it happened, it's real, it shows how vicious these people are and should be a reminder to everyone that this could happen to anyone in the US if they had a chance. I still think it should be shown in full on every TV news program. You cannot imagine the horror unless you see these insane animals slicing and slicing his head off and holding it up for the world to see.

I wonder how much worse they saw at the recent showing of the newly-revised "Texas Chain Saw Massacre."

Are we all a bunch of whimps or what? Executions used ot always be in open places, public, for all to see. These things teach us lessons that do not go away after they are seen.

In this case I am glad some of the children of this nation have seen who their enemy is and what he is capable of doing to them. Maybe it will serve to toughen up the panty-waist, metrosexual nail-polishing mentality they are growing up with.

1. "panty-waist, metrosexual nail-polishing mentality"
What an enlightened soul. :eyes: He'd probably bristle at being called a bigot. I can hear him now: "Some of my best friends are fill-in-the-blank!

12. Well, I sent them an email asking to register
They have a notice when you go to register:

"Our automated registration function will be closed for the foreseeable future. If you want to register and post replies on this site please Email Registration3@LComHQ.com with your request and your working E-mail address and you will be placed on the waiting list."

We'll see how long it takes.

My reply above is exactly what I say to folks when they question my allegiance or patriotism or whatever, usually after giving them MY views after they've spouted the RW talking points.

I travel a lot, so I get to use it a lot.

:P

13. I admire you.
I have a hard time with such discussions. I'm hyper-emotional, so, if I don't turn beet red, I cry. Not because I'm scared or embarrassed or sad; just because I can't control my emotions. And I can't discuss what * has done to this country without getting emotional.

More power to you, mate.

Some of my best friends are panty-waist, metrosexual nail-polishers. :) :) :)

The fools wouldn't know what "metrosexual" was if it wasn't for South Park :).

Berg? Draft dodging backlash?

16. It is a working hypothesis with evidence.
The costumes they killers wore. They were all fat, kinda soft looking. Ski masks in Iraq? The differing times in the video, the fact that Berg did not move when they started to cut his head off, lack of blood, etc. The timing of the release of the video. The out of focus, fuzzy video. And more.

I'm extremely skeptical of most things. But I confess I am willing to think the very worst of this administration, as it's already proved itself capable of horrors beyond decent understanding.

I hope the CIA's claim that it was al Zarqawi (sp?) who killed Nick Berg is proven beyond the shadow of a doubt, because to think that an American killed him is just too fucking painful.

7. why does this sound familiar?

Oh yeah. becuase it's just like the mentality that had Nazi and Saudi school books for boys show "evil Jews" and some such. Get them to hate early and they are less likely to question it later. Especially when you plan on having a state of perpetual war. Got keep sending the meat for the grinder!

Gods, I am sick.

11. Yes. If we don't kill Muslims, we will all become Muslims.
Edited on Sat May-15-04 09:32 AM by Bertha Venation
As if that were the worst thing that could happen. Honestly, fundies, you have to let go of your "one way to God" bullshit. I did. So can you.

Another thing makes it sound familiar: 50-60 years ago it was Communists.

9. It does not surprise me that some "educators" chose
to show the beheading to their students (I wonder if they got permission slips from the students' parents), after all it was not too long ago that white Americans would take their families down to watch a lynching, complete with picnics and everything. These same scenes were then duplicated and sold as postcards.

17. These are the same people who flocked to the Jesus movie
They need blood and gore to reinforce their beliefs. If it were up to them, we'd still be drawing and quartering in public and putting heads on posts.

19. Parents have no right
to put something inside a child's head that can not be erased. If you show a child this video , the child will have to carry it for the rest of their lives and I don't feel I have the right to subject a child to that trauma. I guess we can do this "new" way of teaching with lots of other elements. See honey we have to have spot neutered because the USA kills millions of puppies a years. Get in the car and lets go down to the killing shelter so you can understand.

Another might be smoking. Take them to an autopsy that has a smoker on the table and then teach them about smoking.

The kids might forget of course what the original message was but hey, it's your parental right to remind them after the get off the toilet from stomach cramps.

21. I don't get it
he writes "They at least had demonstrated for them what kind of animals we are fighting in Iraq."

Now, 25 or so Iraqi's have died in our custody. Murder charges have been laid in two cases. A majority of these may have died from abuses suffered. And yet, they are "animals" and we are just engaging in "frat house" pranks? They are evil but we only have a few "bad apples".

How blind are these people, anyway?
