1. There are at least 2 more soldiers & 2 more civilians missing
just from April 9th?

http://www.boston.com/dailynews/132/world/Body_found_on_Baghdad_overpassP.shtml

<snip>

The Bergs last heard from their son April 9, when he said he would come home by way of Jordan, Turkey or Kuwait.

April 9 was also the day that seven American contractors working for a subsidiary of Halliburton and two military men disappeared after their supply convoy was attacked on the outskirts of Baghdad. Four of the Halliburton workers and one of the military men have since been confirmed dead. Halliburton worker Thomas Hamill escaped his captors May 2 and returned home to Mississippi on Saturday. The other two Halliburton workers and the other soldier remain missing.

Two military men also vanished; one was later found dead and the other, Pfc. Keith M. Maupin of Batavia, Ohio, was taken captive and remains missing.

Amazing how they were able to ID Berg's, body so fast, especially since the head wasn't attached anymore? As a matter of fact, no one knew he had been beheaded until the video came out?

2. the media doesn't want to mention him

the rightwingers would prefer us to forget about him
now that they've said it's OK for a little "hazing"
to go on with captives when our national security is
at stake.

3. They don't want people to know the Iraqis are treating him well
Edited on Sat May-15-04 09:02 AM by Straight Shooter
At least he's safe from conveniently being grabbed by people who come back from the dead, like Zarqawi.

I do hope the Iraqi insurgents release him soon. It would benefit them tremendously as a gesture of good will.

edit: I mean it would benefit them in the sense it would help to quell the irrational hatred spewing from the RW now.
