just caught a few minutes of shawnny boy explaining why he played the berg decapitation audio on his show, uncut. he says it's a good thing and that all americans SHOULD hear it, to remind them of the true evil of our enemy. he said it would affect them the way 9-11 did and give us resolve to move forward with our global domination plans.

see?...see?...the right wing WANTS the berg video to be shown, TO COUNTERACT THE TORTURE AND RAPE AND DEATH AND HUMILIATION photos.

see why there are so many insane conspiracy theories going around?

see why the republican senators want to hide the photos in the pentagon? see why the berg video came out at such a convenient time?
see how it's the only thing to top the torture scandal in over two weeks?

I'm really torn here....

I, like many others here, have deep suspicions about the entire Berg story. In trying to make sense of a senseless act, I'll try on various sizes of tinfoil hats and then quickly discard them. But I also know that the Bushies have done so much crap that I shouldn't trust the official story line and may eventually end up cursing myself for being so niave.

There is just so much that doesn't add up.

why didn`t Clinton ratings fall? because people thought it was none of their business but more to the point-they didn`t want to hear about it! who other than splatter movie fans would want to watch someone get their head craved off? you`ll see more blood in a movie than the video-why- the guy was dead! others will just say "oh you know how those Arabs are"-getting all their knowledge from movies..
why the berg video will fade away is that the American people feel more outrage that the thought that our men and women could do the things they are accused of-our good wholesome boys and girls could never do something so awful-that`s why the prisoner abuse won`t go away no matter how hard bush tries to hide it...

12. The Audio Alone Is Haunting...

After seeing your post, I popped on the video with just the audio track going and I could see how it could be a propagandist's dream come true.

Most of it is the ranting of the reading of the sentence. The distorted audio gives it the aura of ranting, evil do-ers...just like the old-time radio variety (poor audio quality helps)...and then the screams and background noise that make it sound even eerier. I could see Shawn-boy (or more like some RNC operative) who noticed this effect and just let the listener's imagination create whatever evil, horiffic scene they could conger. Kinda like a good scary sermon...make you wanna run to father Bunnypants for protection. Not!

I think it's time to leave the Berg story and family to rest...events are moving too fast and to dwell on it much longer plays into the regime's attempt to distract from the mess Americans are really starting to wake up to. I suspect we'll see and hear worse stuff to come...especially if we get the Lynndie England version of "Shaving Ryan's Privates" on computer screens near you.
