CNN builds Zarqawi - "More important than OBL"
http://edition.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/05/11/walsh/index.html
A
COOPER: Interesting, though, that on the Web site they release the name Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, saying that he was the person, the masked person there, slitting the throat of this young American. Why would they add that detail?

WALSH: That's a really good question, and it makes one speculate, and this is only speculation here. But Zarqawi is arguably more important than Osama bin Laden right now.

While bin Laden is out avoiding capture in the frontier provinces of Pakistan, Zarqawi is executing operation after operation after operation.

This may be his attempt to assert his own claim to the leadership mantle, to say he's really the most important terrorist in the world today, and that he is, in some sense, replacing bin Laden."

1. i'm pretty suspicious about this US boogeyman
that we've never really "seen" except one file photo. It's as if everthing that goes wrong in Iraq can be immediately pointed towards this psycho terrorist and not just from an organized insurgence by Iraqis. Not to mention he conveniently leaves behind this rambling manifesto ( http://cpa-iraq.org/transcripts/20040212_zarqawi_full.html ) that plays right into the hands of the CPA.

9. More Muddling...
Listening to our media it's everyone who hates us and has an Arab name is a "terrorist". No difference if they're Shiite or Kurd or from Detroit. The media makes little to no relationships between the various "boogiemen" (and that's what they are) that conveniently serve this regime.

Let's see...we this dude we've never seen...that supposedly was skunked out of his hiding spot during the invasion, there's Sadr still holed up in Najaf whose is a Shiite and not at all related with Zarqawi (if he exists) plus who knows how many other warlords and former Baathists who are making this invasion so inconveninet for this regime.

While I won't go near the tinfoil, there's definitely a pattern of this regime painting a broad brush of all their past and current enemies to confuse the various reasons they have for wanting to kill us. When will the media get through their myopic skulls that this is an OCCUPATION. What need more be said or done to show this thing was a sham from the outset and it's time to call this "BUSH'S WAR" early and often.
