The Video Was Uploaded From London, Not Iraq
JackBlood.com Has Traced The Address Of ‘Islamic Website’ That Posted The Berg Decapitation Video To London, England

The Video Was Uploaded From London, Not Iraq

After several hours of research, JackBlood.com has learned the web addresses for the ‘Islamic Websites’ that posted the Nick Berg decapitation video. The website addresses are www.al-asnar.net and www.al-asnar.biz . Both websites have apparently been disabled by 'authorities.' The location of the web server is reportedly in Malaysia. However, the addresses of the publishers for these sites are located in London, England and Nurnberg, Denmark.

The addresses began to disappear from the internet listings as we reported this development on The Power Hour Radio Show. Apparently, ‘Big Brother’ had been listening to the show and didn’t like the news at all.

The location of the publishers for al-ansar.net appears to be at an Arab Press Building, which appears to be shared by different Arab news publications. The name of the organization is the Arab Press House. The building is apparently the headquarters for news magazines such as, Al Jamilla, Sayidaty, and Al Majallah among others.

The London address is the following:

www.al-ansar.net

Arab Press House
Abdel Rahman al-Rashed
184 High Holborn, WCIV78P, London
tel. 020 78318181

The other address is located in Nurnberg, Denmark. It apparently belongs to a man named Omar AbuOmar. His email address is:

alansar_alansar@hotmail.com .

The complete mailing address is the following:

www.al-ansar.biz
Omar AbuOmar

Nurnberg, Denmark, 42114

1. Initial upload could have been from anywhere
It probably changed hands several times before it was finally uploaded to the website.

... al-Rashed is the editor-in-chief of Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, the London newspaper espousing a Saudi view of world events. Al-Ahram summarized a June 7, 2003 article by al-Rashed as follows: "Al-Rashed wrote on 7 June that the Americans indeed have a lot to be proud of since entering Baghdad. So far, there has not been civil war, or sectarian strife, or wars with Iran, Syria or even Saudi Arabia. They have not hung their enemies, nor placed (except for a few) opponents in jail, and, despite internal and foreign pressures, they have not forged evidence of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. In fact, all the Americans have done in Iraq, Al-Rashed wrote, is to excavate mass graves, showing the world that human rights were the best reason for the invasion and the toppling of Saddam.

"The US administration had not yet been able to announce a new Iraqi government, Al-Rashed argued, because they had discovered that it was not easy to form a government in a country torn by external allegiances because of an absence of domestic political forces. The fallen regime was a paper tiger, and its army a mirage, he said, but that regime had managed to put its people under "psychological siege", turning Iraq into one vast prison. The Americans should manage the political situation by establishing an Iraqi civilian and military administration."

Clearly, this is Saudi support for US actions in Iraq. So, in one sense, it would be plausible for the Saudis to run a video depicting the killing of an American by presumed terrorists. The question is, if their site showed the video first, why did al-Qaeda, an avowed foe of the Saudi monarchy, give the Saudis the video before anyone else?

Is the most interesting question I've seen in this forum all week.

9. Playing both ends against the middle
Typical Saudi bullshit. Arab Press House is an umbrella for a myriad of Islamic organizations, some of their activities pedestrian, some of them unsavory. Al-Ansar was one of the latter:
Al-Ansar is a web site of the Saudi Salafi-Jihadi trend of global Jihad. Most of the writings on this site support Al-Qaeda and its global struggle, and strongly oppose the Saudi regime, according to the most radical doctrines of the Saudi clerics and scholars that back the activities of al-Qaeda. It supports the most radical interpretations of Jihad in our times. This site is known to be actively involved in gathering and distributing military intelligence for Al Qaida to assist them in their war against the United States.

http://internet-haganah.us/harchives/001538.html

Mr Rashed isn't always in the good graces of US authorities:
"Jihad Online" Supervisor: "I was Imprisoned for Four Months Underground"

Abdel Rahman Al Rashed, the supervisor of "Jihad Online" website, which was closed down by the FBI around a year ago after it published an interview with Osama bin Laden, said he is now forced to stay in one of the Arab Gulf countries. He told Asharq Al Awsat over email that he's being investigated for his access to al Qaeda material that was published on his site. Al Rashed claims he was imprisoned underground for around four months and warned by the Gulf authorities that he would be sent to Guantanamo if he returns to his previous activities. (Asharq Al Awsat)

Oddly, he shares a name with a former Al Qaeda spokesman.

18. Whois info may be completely bogus.
Denmark has 4-digit postal codes, not 5 digit codes.

The 965 code in the telephone number doesn't match any codes in Denmark.

I didn't see a postal code for Nurnberg or Nurnburg on this official site: http://www.postdanmark.dk/iis/english/index.asp

5. Another oddity is where this video went from the al-ansar site
The first working (at the time) link that was posted on DU, was a site that belonged to Northeast Intelligence Network. The video was on the site for at least of couple of hours before it was pulled. This is the site that many of on DU following this story, saw the video for the first time. Of course, from there it was copied and spread around like wildfire, making tracing it's origins difficult to say the least.

This is the original link posted on DU, but the video has been removed.

http://www.homelandsecurityus.com/iraq2vediom.wmv

The site is run by Douglas Hagmann. Doug is one of those self-made al Qaeda, terrorist 'experts' that Tom Ridge likes to use has one of his private intel sources. Odd that this fellow who is such a tool for HS, should be the one of the first to put this video out there?

to the Steve Quayle show because he has frequent terra threat updates that no one else seems to focus on...so I tune in yesterday(friday) and who's guest hosting but "Doug Hagmann" from NEI...NEI's Modus Operandi seems to serve the function of trolling all know Islamic webboards for "chatter", I think they have a translator. He was talking about the refinery fires and "chatter" that there would be refinery fires in the gulf coast region next week..he was telling everyone to fillup their SUV's by the weekend . The Qfiles have a listing of all the refinery fires and explosions in the recent past.

I doubt that there's a "New Dream Street" in a danish city, and Nurnberg (i.e. Nürnberg) is actually a city in Germany (and I couldn't find a danish city by that name in my European road atlas).

That whois info seems completely fake.

12. There is a Nurnberg in both Germany and Denmark
Google will return a lot of results for either one.

Also Google, Omar Abu Omar and/or Abu Qatada.

I do not doubt that someone made up the info on the site registration, but the person they claim to be, is a major terrorist figure who happens to be in jail at the moment.

Omar is the same guy that supposedly the terrorists in Spain tried to call three times when the authorities had them surrounded? He sure gets around?

14. Are you sure?
> There is a Nurnberg in both Germany and Denmark

I could only find two sites that mention "Nurnberg, Denmark". One of them got it definitely wrong, they mention the rock am ring and rock im park festivals, both of which take place in Germany. There are lots of hits if you just search for the words nurnberg and denmark, but the ones I checked mentioned Nürnberg (in Germany) and something in Denmark, but not nurnberg in Denmark.

Yeah, just like Zarqavi. Wherever you need him, there he is.

21. Three years ago, we knew this site was a CIA front...
Even then, it seemed rather strange that every time Bush or Blair were in political trouble another "Osama's gonna get you!" video would be made public...

I wrote an article, "Osama To The Rescue" detailing the links between al-Ansar and Saudi "businessmen"...

(you can't get to it on the net right now, my old site is defunct, am trying to get the articles from that site linked to my new site, rbham.com)

Anyway...

Run by Saudi "businessmen" from London, "al-Ansar" could have been shut down at any time by MI5. Unless, of course they serve the purpose of this world wide "War On Terror"...

Psychological operations, y'know...
