"execution," I wonder who would go so far as to make up sick jokes about that sort of thing.

1. We have a similar morning guy in OKC
His name is Mark Shannon and he got fired for ridiculing and laughing at the Texas A&M students who got killed when that big log bonfire structure they were building collapsed and crushed them.

He disappeared for 4 or 5 years but is now back on the air spewing immoral bile every day about "liberals."

He is also an alcoholic who can't stop talking about himself and his problems.

He sucks and apparently is not the only one.

the audio of that footage for some sick or :puke: thrills known only to them.

On edit I wonder if that OKC DJ also made sick jokes about the Murrah building incident and its victims.

3. Lenny Bruce observed that satire. . .
is tragedy plus time. So in his time (the early '60s) jokes could be made about Mr. Lincoln's assassination ("Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how'd you like the play?), but it was considered ill-form to make similar play of President Kennedy's death. It seems there's a universality to Lenny's observation, as there is to much of his commentary.

4. I wonder if in time, there will be a time when even jokes about September
11 or something like that would eventually be all right, since that faded into the distant past.

5. I saw a comic try that once.
His act crashed and burned.

6. Lenny Bruce was a genious far ahead of his time.
Died far too young. Largely from being opressed by the hypocritical morality police of the time.

7. That seems about right- remember the Seinfeld episode about JFK?

"Back, and to the right... Back, and to the right..."

It would have been thirty-some years after Kennedy's assassination, and perhaps a generation is long enough to turn the tragedy into satire.
