Can the DNC expell Zell Miller?
If a Senator and/or Representative has the right to switch parties, why can't a party boot a member?

What's Clinton, Hillary, Gore, Kerry, Daschle or Pelosi waiting for?

1. The question is not 'CAN', but...
WHEN?

2. Probably...
If parade organizers (Hurley v. Irish-American Gay, Lesbian & Bisexual Group of Boston(1995)) and the boy scouts ( BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA V. DALE(2000)) have the right not to associate with people that contradict their message, then surely Democrats can throw out someone who contradicts theirs.

3. let Zel stay!
I think he will make more Dems Vote because he's pi**ing them off!

Let him play is games. He's not going to get any more Pubs to vote for Shrub just because he's endorsing him, but he will energize Dems to go vote and that's what we need.

4. Agree. Don't make him a martyr. Just put him on ignore.
Georgia is wacko cracker "moran" controlled. I can say this with a smile on my face because that's where all my immediate family live. (And they are.)

To rile them up even further by ousting Zell will just drive all those crackers to the polls like it was a swap meet or a gun show for Jesus.

I say we should let it slide and ignore it if he's not up for reelection. That way the decent people in the state (and there really are some) can mobilize themselves for a rational representation.

14. I agree
it's best to just ignore him and he will eventually go away. I'm sure the guy thrives on being a thorn in the side of the Democratic Party that is why it is best for the party to give him the attention that is due him.....NONE.

11. Let that disgusting puke stay. I think he's finding he caught the Repub
"wave" just as it is getting ready to crash onto the rocky shores of Iraq reality. Good for him.

6. I think the Dem attitude is one of "Why bother?"
After all, he's leaving the Senate after this year. And no matter what party he belongs to in the next several months, he's still going to piss all over the Democrats.

8. What's wrong with diversity?
Comments like this make the Democratic Party look more like the Republican Party every day. No wonder there are so many registered independents. Where would a pro-life Democrat or a pro-choice Republican go? Since when does the 'big tent' party expel people with different views?

10. Choice is not the issue.
Endorsing the other parties nominee for president and saying the terrorists win unless you vote for the other guy is the issue. It is a big tent. Should we allow all the right wing fascists in too? Sure, Hannity, Wolfowitz, Coulter. Welcome to our tent. :eyes:

12. This post reminds me of a Simpsons episode where Bart was looking

at a "Where's Waldo?" book where Waldo was just in the middle of the page, waving at the reader.

"He's just not trying anymore!"
