Expect Bush to have a meeting with the Repub caucus ....
in the next couple of weeks. Because he knows if he continues to slip in the polls, they will drop him like a hot potato. And he cannot afford to be dropped by them at this time. But they are thinking about their re-election. And they are starting to be concerned. Very concerned. If the top of the ticket does not do well, the House and Senate candidates do not do too well either.

There is a real possibility that the Democrats may not only take the White House, they may take back the House and Senate. This is a real fear amongst the present majority Repubs in both Houses. And they are right to fear the possibility.

That is why Mr Bush will call them together sometime in the next couple of weeks - to let them know that they need to keep a stiff spine and not give up on him just because the polls are not looking good in his favor. However, that will be easier said than done. The Repubs eyes are wide open, as if they have seen a ghost, and they are not really interested in saving George W Bush's ass, they are too concerned about their own.

1. It Has Already Happened - Last Week At Pete Sessions Town Hall Meeting
There were three representatives: Pete Sessions (TX), Sam Johnson (TX), Jim Nussle (IA).

Bush was never mentioned at the event.

2. I Think You're Right
But, as I've come to start telling all of my Republican friends, it really doesn't matter what he does now, because of course he's unelectable. Plant that seed ... Bush is unelectable. Use the phrase every day until its part of the common tongue. He's unelectable. It is a selffilling phrophecy.

3. Do you think the Repuke caucus will replace him with McCain?
I don''t. I think they put their eggs in the Bush basket and that is where they are staying.

4. Maybe the repukes would entertain
impeachment thereby letting them save some face and run another candidate. Lord knows there should have been an impeachment started years ago and the case has grown even stronger.
