4. I'd be a little leary about opening a shop in Baghdad
for the forseeable future. 10 years from now, maybe. There isn't enough money in the world to make that place look inviting.

Bottom feeders and scavengers with friends in high places.

From pg 14 of Rebuilding Americas Defenses: Strategy, Forces, and Resources for a New Century (aka the PNAC play-book): "...the United State for decades has sought to play a more permanent role in Gulf regional security. While the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification, the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein. (emphasis added)

Rape and pillage is only a side benefit in an opportunity rich environment.

6. Oil is a huge part..
But anyone who says its "all about oil" is wrong. It is about oil, but more importantly selling off the entire country to private corporations.

9. There has got to be a better way
of setting up a fledgling Democracy. Pure capitalism seems like such a recipe for disaster.

8. Actually, it's a big right wing distraction.
If we are at war and terror attacks imminent, we won't demand accountability from our elected representatives or our unelected ones.

10. We must demand it
war or no war. I think we are seeing some of it lately on Capitol Hill, but we deserve answers. Real ones. There must be accountability.

11. I guess it is Friday so it must be to save them
I do not think even Bush knows any more. He was going to become the Jack ass in Chief and ride into office as a navy fighter, like his father, and save the world for Christians? Or is that Mondays reason?
