The liars in the Bush Administration were in another big mess.

It goes on and on and on and on.

From the farce that was 911 ­to the capturing and imprisonment (and later release) of Afghani goat herders in Guantanamo Bay ­while Bin Laden and his lieutenants were "escorted" to safety into Pakistan by their handlers - the CIA.

No ties between Hussein and Bin Laden (mortal enemies).

No weapons of Mass Destruction (We KNOW where they are).

We take down an "evil regime" and then put the same generals in charge in Fallujah.

We "liberate" the country by rounding up and torturing civilians. Rumsfeld goes before Congress on Wednesday (5/12) and says the Iraqi women who were raped and the children who were beaten and the 90% of all detainees who had to be released AFTER torture ­ these all were "terrorists". Therefore, the Geneva Convention and rules of war do not apply to raping and torturing because these "terrorists" do not belong to an Army.

Everything was going South ­ deservedly so ­ and the Bush Administration needed help.

I need to write some angry letters to the media about their unquestioning acceptance of the laughably flimsy finger-pointing at Zawqari, the holes in the "evidence" through which one could drive a Mack truck. The CIA says it was Zawqari? The same Zawqari that maybe got killed in March? or at least is missing a leg? that same Zawqari? and they know this how? they heard that non-Jordanian say he was Zawqari so that's that, nothing to see, move along folks?? that non-Jordanian who said he was Zawqari but kept his face covered? they figured it out just like that, in a matter of, what, hours? (just like they had all 19 hijackers ID'd within hours)

oh yes, this is the same CIA that said Hussein had WMDs and was trying to buy yellow-cake uranium from Niger. oh, okay, must be true then.

5. You're being humorous but we REALY DO NEED TO DO THIS!

This is the kind of thing everyone on DU should be doing. It really helps to have the absurdity of it all spelled out IN DETAIL precisely as you've done. We make the phone call and we get a receptionist who of course doesn't know anything much at all. But if they started getting dozens of such calls, they'd notice. Same is true for our so called "elected leaders" too.

We need to do this and we need to do much more than this. Personally, I'm inching my way toward civil disobedience -- especially in relation to the media.

Edit to add: I no longer watch television at all. This is my FUCK YOU to their corporate whoring. If they want MY EYES BACK for their commercials, they'll have to start INVESTIGATING and REPORTING about what is really going on -- not acting as a mouth piece for the criminal elites.
