Anyone else notice the Christian Science Monitor ignored the torture story?
I used to consider CSM just about the best source for news. But since the torture story broke they have only linked one AP story of the scandal and have written no stories of their own. I am really disappointed in them. They have shown their true Bush boot licking colors to me. What a shame.

US soldiers face charges of prisoner abuse
By Ann Scott Tyson WASHINGTON To former military police Master Sgt. Lisa Gilman and two of her fellow soldiers, May 12 was just "another night in the desert" restraining unruly Iraqi war prisoners. But in January, the three Pennsylvania MPs were discharged from the military for kicking and punching Iraqis, including one allegedly linked to the ambush of the Jessica Lynch convoy. In a similar case, a Marine guard testified in February that beating uncooperative Iraqi detainees was common... (1105 words)

8. Damn. I have been checking daily too.
Usually they leave stories up for a few days. I must not have been checking over there fast enough. Thank you for the search and your time. I need to do some reading now.

10. they recently "lost money" in a "financial problem"
I remember reading in the business news maybe two months ago that the entire Christian Science community and their newspapers and businesses just took a big financial hit.

I agree, the Christian Science Monitor has long been a top-notch media source.
