Has everyone signed the petition being sent to Inhofe
Senator Inhofe, when you say that you're more "outraged by the outrage" than by the treatment of the prisoners, YOU DON'T SPEAK FOR ME.

Senator Inhofe, when you say "they have American blood on their hands" while independent reports suggest that 70-90% of the people in those prisons were arrested by mistake, YOU DON'T SPEAK FOR ME.

Senator Inhofe, when you say that you're "outraged by the press" for reporting these abuses, YOU DON'T SPEAK FOR ME.

1. Thanks
I missed it before. Our cable has been out due to storms and I would have hated to miss this one!

2. not to sound like a devil's advocate
but isn't this a petition that should be signed only by residents of Oklahoma? without question, Sen. Inhofe doesn't speak for me, or anyone else in the 49 other states that he doesn't represent, and letting him know as much seems silly. clearly such a vociferous condemnation and statement is necessary to assert that, while elected by Oklahomans, his opinions in this regard (and perhaps many others) are not shared by all who he represents in the Sooner State. but nationwide signatories to it doesn't seem to make sense, or will likely be of concern for the Senator and his staffers.

maybe it would be more useful to send messages to our individual officials calling on them to condemn Sen. Asshofe's remarks.

just a though...
