Okay, but What Do You Really Think? (Rabinowitz e-mails Breitweiser)
Scroll down

If your opinion piece is rejected by a newspaper, you'll probably get a polite note and never know the real reason. But Kristen Breitweiser, the activist 9/11 widow from New Jersey, received a cruel critique yesterday from Wall Street Journal columnist Dorothy Rabinowitz, a member of the editorial board. Rabinowitz dashed off an e-mail urging the op-ed editor not to publish a submission from Breitweiser and three other widows -- then copied the note to Breitweiser accidentally.

"total and complete -- not to mention repetitive -- nonsense from people given endless media access to repeat the very same stupid charges, suspicions, and the rest," Rabinowitz fumed.

" . . . this is just an opportunity for these absurd products of the zeitgeist -- women clearly in the grip of the delusion that they know something, have some policy, and wisdom not given to the rest of us to know -- to grab the spotlight. again,. and repeat, again, the same tripe before a national audience. My thoughts -- we don't publish nonsensical contentions that offer no news, no insight -- solely on the grounds that those who feel attacked get a chance to defend their views. For that we have the letters column."

Ouch!

"I couldn't believe the response I got. It's just upsetting," Breitweiser told The Post's Howard Kurtz. "This woman, I don't know why she hates me so much."

2. I hope Kristen spreads this far and wide...
The Whore Street Journal has been a staunch supporter of the bush junta...now we see it laid bare..

3. The same op-ed page that let O'Neill lie about serving with Kerry?
And then had the nerve to HIGHLIGHT THE LIE.

4. Rabinowicz is just another republican shill.
I'll never forget that broad on WJ and how she gave air time accusing Clinton of being a rapist. The hypocrite bitch wouldn't be so hostile towards Ms. Breitweiser if Clinton was in office, I'll bet.

7. I have mixed feelings about Dorothy
Yes, she can be quite the right-winger and I am deeply offended by her attacks on the 9-11 widows. But she is a very smart cookie and I admire her dogged research on the "recovered memory" cases that sent innocent folks to jail on the basis of utterly fabricated evidence. No one else was really looking at this issue and she singlehandedly shined a light into a very dark corner.

5. What is Kristen's beef? She's just a 9/11 widow!
How dare she try to stir up controversy again. We don't want to know the truth - she's such a pain in the ass.

Yeah, just trying to 'grab the spotlight'!!!

Liberal media, thy name is WSJ.

6. Well, well the facade cracks a little
What a telling and extremely foolish thing for her to do.

It may not seem like much, but this gives voice to suspicions that the WSJ editorial page is strongly biased toward the Republicans. This won't topple Bush by any means, but will make it harder for his minions to defend him.

Their impartially can now be called into question. Brietweiser it should be remembered is a Republican who has been accused of being a Democratic activist.

She just wants the truth, it's the WSJ editorial page who should stand accused of political activism. This is proof.

8. One can understand if Kristen Breitweiser was an ignorant
person like the many Republican shills posing as knowledgeable journalists if she was subjected to this kind of vitriolic assaults.
But, if you look at the questionnaire that the widows of 9/11 have for Bush and his gang it shows people who are fully aware of the issues and want answers that have been denied them mainly because of the stonewalling of this administration.Ms.Rabinowitz's real intent is to stop any real inquiry into the truth of 9/11 by assassinating the character of the victims. She is another one of the army of apologists for the Bush administration that does not want the truth of 9/11 to emerge from the fog. When that truth comes out, as the Abu Ghraib tortures have come out, we are finally going to reach the moment of revulsion ,to borrow Paul Krugman's phrase, that these
shills like Rabinowitz are truly afraid of.

To Ms.Rabinowitz, I say, we are proud of Kristen Breitweiser and her
friends who have lost their loved ones in the 9/11 massacre, which like the Gulf of Tonkin incident and the Reichstag Fire are concoctions of the power elite to sway public opinion to their agenda.
Their fight for the truth is our fight and low lifes like Rabinowitz are not going to intimidate people who are onto the games people like them play in the service of their masters.

10. Infuriating that some think they are entitled to run the country without..
interference from the mere citizenry.

So many members of the media & politicians seem to consider public comments to be irrelevant, uninformed, misguided, etc.
