To HELL with that bunch at MSNBC!
I just turned off MSNBC.

First, they have on GOP-lite Joe Lieberman and Bush lover Kay Bailey Hutchinson, bending over backwards, trying to justify the torture of prisoners in Iraq.

THEN, they get some FIB (not FBI) former agent saying the Geneva convention doesn't apply to those prisoners since they are "unlawful combatants." :argh:

2. Me, too
First I see Hutchinson assuring us that no matter what - no matter HOW bad it gets, we will be "staying the course". Aaagghhh!!

Next I heard the words "Senator Lieberman" and I couldn't turn it off fast enough!

:puke:

3. Where is "unlawful combatants" defined?
I can't find that phrase anywhere in the Convention. The Convention specifically refers to the "RELATIVE TO THE PROTECTION OF CIVILIAN PERSONS."

Does anyone (besides Leiberman) know where "unlawful combatants" is defined, and how the Convention doesn't apply to them.

I'm looking for something official.

:bounce:

7. Yep. He's always smart and unafraid. Chris Matthews of late
has also been "seeing the light."

8. Just what is the status in Iraq?
Are we at war? What is the official classification for why we are there? Are the people being detained by our troops prisoners, cambatants, what?
