23. Poster at Kos says Russians

Over at Kos, one poster got an email with this observation:

The terrorists in Berg's beheading video are communicating
to each other in Russian ! One of them tells to the executioner
who was cutting Berg's head: "Davay pozhivee !" meaning
"Do it quicker !", or "Hurry up !" in pure unaccented Russian.
Initially, I thought I was the only one who noticed it, but other
Russian speakers confirmed it as well independently from me.
So, who actually killed Berg ? BTW, "Allah o Akbar" they
pronounce not with Arabic, but with a Russian-like accent.
Also, their demeanor was not Arabic at all, but resembles that
of people from the North Caucasus. Those were not Arabs ! "

-------------

I have searched Google, Loopy News, and NewsNow and can find absolutely no other mention of this. I don't even see it over at Daily Kos. I haven't watched the video but would think this would stand out like a sore thumb. Surely more than one Russian in the whole entire world did watch it and would have noticed. Has anyone here sent this to any investigative reporters? Why wouldn't this be the FIRST thing Arab reports would mention--that the executioners aren't even speaking Arabic (at least one of them)?

1. It has been mentioned that they could be from Chechnya
They perform these type of beheadings on Russian POW's, it would also explain the uncharacteristic physical features for people from that region and the use of Russian.

I only posted that as another factor to consider--not as a verifyable souce.. I don't think I or the other poster I lifted this from would consider this fact, only conjector. This is a scary world right now, best if you hurry up and take over.

on edit-----------My Lovee!!!

I never said it was verifiable or anything else, though it seems easy as hell to verify. Also nothing about you. Just wondered if it could lead anywhere and curious that as far as I know the ONE mention on Kos is all there seems to be.

6. Body language
Edited on Thu May-13-04 07:16 AM by Skarbrowe
I thought I was being a bit "conspiracy nut" when I told a friend that the body language of the man standing farthest to the right when looking at the tape did not appear to be Middle Eastern. It was more of an American type stance. The way he was standing and the way he shifted from one foot to another.

I've been in several countries and I'm just a person who notices differences in how people move. American males have a very unique swagger to their movements. European males are more fluid, what some American guys might call feminine. It isn't feminine, it just isn't the way American guys move.

I'm definitely not saying it was Americans. It was just an observation that made me wonder. It really stood out to me and was very upsetting.

I'm not awake yet, forgive the choppy writing.

Hope you find out about the Russian language mystery.

edited to clarify the which man I was talking about

7. I speak russian...
...but I haven't seen the entire video, not sure what site has it, haven't looked....having said that, when i was in Russia in 2000, i saw a video of Chechens beheading a Russian soldier, about 20-21 yrs. old...so I wouldn't be surprised if those were Chechens doing the dirty work...(I'm still iffy on all the circumstances related to this though).

5. My question, what did actually say during the whole video?
Where can I get transcripts of what they were saying?
