Freeper Poetry
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1133926/posts

200 years from now, I want their children's children's children's children
to cower and cringe in fear whenever they hear the sounds of jet engines overhead
because their legends tell of fire from the sky.

I want them to hide in dark caves and holes in the earth,
shivering with terror whenever they hear the roar of diesel engines
because the tales of their ancestors talk about metal monsters
crawling over the earth, spitting death and destruction.

I want their mothers to be able to admonish them with
"If you don't behave, the Pale Destroyers will come for you",
and that will be enough to reduce them to quivering obesience.

I want the annihilation to be so complete that their mythology
will tell them of the day of judgment when the stern gods from across the sea
.. the powerful 'Mericans .. destroyed their forefathers' wickedness.

31. Among Freep Children?
Edited on Thu May-13-04 08:26 AM by markses
VIII

Slaughter is lip-smacking and thrilling where
The bodies of the brown fulfil their lust.
Where beauty's born out of the world's despair,
And blue-eyed murder out of desert dust.
O Humvee-man, your ecstasy for war,
Is it the blood, the oil or the rust?
O bodies scorched in thousands, O oversized jeep,
How can we know the freeper from the freep?

(With apologies to Yeats:

VIII

Labour is blossoming or dancing where
The body is not bruised to pleasure soul.
Nor beauty born out of its own despair,
Nor blear-eyed wisdom out of midnight oil.
O chestnut-tree, great-rooted blossomer,
Are you the leaf, the blossom or the bole?
O body swayed to music, O brightening glance,
How can we know the dancer from the dance?)

10. You know, I go over there
to get a fix on the Freeper view of the latest news; and other such "serious" purposes, and I always end up getting sucked in by some asshole's death fantasies.

I love that this guy mentions Sand Creek, AND talks about "Pale Warriors..."

It's difficult not to get a hardon over the willful destruction of non-White people, including women and children, isn't it?

To me, this is exactly WHY those prisoner abuses happened: because for 20 years, Limbaugh, and the other VRWC types have fanned the flames of the types of kids who enjoyed killing small animals, and they have formed a legitimate subculture of America.

And to think people think "liberal" is a dirty word...

FUCK!

14. Hilarious
Looks like the Freeper dream will be - er - deferred.

Instead, they are telling tales of dead American soldiers carried out by the plane-load. They will no doubt recount their victory in the battle of Fallujah for decades, thusly:

What's he that wishes so?
My cousin Abdullah? No, my fair cousin:
If we are mark'd to die, we are enow
To do our country loss; and if to live,
The fewer men, the greater share of honour.
Allahu Akbar! I pray thee, wish not one man more.
Allah, I am not covetous for gold,
Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;
It yearns me not if men my garments wear;
Such outward things dwell not in my desires:
But if it be a sin to covet honour,
I am the most offending soul alive.
No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from all Iraq:
A salaam Alaikum! I would not lose so great an honour
As one man more, methinks, would share from me
For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!
Rather proclaim it, Abdullah, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made
And crowns for convoy put into his purse:
We would not die in that man's company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is called the feast of Arbaeen:
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when the day is named,
And rouse him at the name of Arbaeen.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say 'To-morrow is Fallujah's Arbaeen:'
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars.
And say 'These wounds I had on Arbaeen.'
Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember with advantages
What feats he did that day: then shall these names.
Familiar in his mouth as household words
Amman-Baghdad Road, Golan, abu Hanifa,
Haj Musheen Abdul Aziz Az-Kubaysi,
Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Fallujah Arbaeen shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen of Baghdad now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Arbaeen's day.

29. The shining city on the hill
Is, of course, one of the oldest tropes in American letters, being a Puritan construction. See Sacvan Berkovich's great work on the American jeremiad.

Reagan picked it up again, but he wasn't the first, and he won't be the last.

Oh freddled gruntbuggly thy micturations are to me
As plurdled gabbleblotchits on a lurgid bee.
Groop I implore thee my foonting turlingdromes.
And hooptiously drangle me with crinkly bindlewurdles,
Or I will rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon,
see if I don't!

32. What I find funny is that
in reality, our influence over there is nothing..these people have known death, destruction and war for centuries. Its more arrogance on our part to assume that we will be the worst thing these poor people have ever had to deal with in their lives. Every day that they have a tank driving down their street is just another day to them. Dont you freeper assholes get that?

If you want to shock and awe them, treat them with some respect and let them govern themselves. Stop persecuting an entire culture for the actions of a few.

Try that.
